Halcyon Now Offer Monitoring Capability for Unix and Linux Servers

PETERBOROUGH, U.K. (PRWEB) September 24, 2005

The face of Information Technology in business is constantly changing, so support technicians are constantly faced with the challenge of ensuring their critical IT infrastructure is available around the clock. As technology advances and demands on budgets grow Halcyon is always one step ahead.

Previously with Network Server Suite technicians were able to monitor Windows Servers, Devices and Applications and Services. Now the latest release incorporates a System Log monitor allowing you to monitor Unix and Linux servers as well.

The release also incorporates seven default monitoring templates that cover the majority of everyday scenarios that your organisation is likely to encounter. A reporting template is also built-in as standard. Just a few of these templates are Active Directory, Exchange Server (Performance), Server Performance (Advanced) and CPU, Disk, Memory.

It doesn’t stop there, also included in the new release is the capability to connect to servers that are stuck behind firewalls, file and folder monitor and TCP/UDP Generic Monitor.
