SwimovateUSA Launches New Website for U.S. Sales

(PRWEB) September 01, 2013

SwimovateUSA, the American division for the original makers of the automatic lap counting swim watch, has launched their website for U.S. sales and dealers. Brad Sorock, spokesman for SwimovateUSA, says: "We are very eager to get our website out to the American public. The Swimovate's revolutionary PoolMate watch has taken over the U.K. swimming and triathlon scene, and we're sure it'll have the same kind of traction here in the U.S."

Swimovate is the company that created the revolutionary PoolMate watch, which allows swimmers to accurately count the number of laps, distance, calories, strokes, and other important measures of their swim, so they can focus on their swimming while they collect data for training purposes. The PoolMate line includes several watches, including the PoolMate Pro which features PC-link ability to upload and graphically analyze swimming data over long periods of time, and the PoolMate HR, which has all of the features of other PoolMates, plus an included chest-strap that makes it the first swimming watch that accurately counts heart rate underwater.

The new website will allow individual purchasers and dealers alike to explore the different models of the PoolMate, and learn more about how these watches can take their swimming to the next level, as well as offer direct-to-consumer rates on all of SwimovateUSA's products.

Swimovate was originally founded in the U.K. by serious swimmers due to the lack of a product on the market that could accurately count laps without needing button presses or pauses mid-swim. Swimovate watches use a revolutionary accelerometer technology that not only counts laps, but also calories burned and even stroke efficiency, which is a measure of how far a swimmer gets based on one stroke. The new website can be seen at http://www.swimovateusa.com

Cayman Enterprise City Offers Young Entrepreneurs Easy Solution to U.S. H-1B Visa Troubles

George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (PRWEB) June 30, 2013

Innovators facing difficulties with launching start-ups or growing existing tech companies in Silicon Valley, or elsewhere in the U.S. because of H-1B visa caps and restrictions, will find a much easier path to entrepreneurship in Caymans high tech special economic zone, Cayman Enterprise City. H-1B visas allow American employers to import foreign workers each year to fill jobs that require "highly specialized knowledge," but these visas are notoriously restrictive and capped at 65,000. This year more than 124,000 visa applications were filed, so a lottery system was implemented and the work permits were gone in a week. Entrepreneurs who struggle through the process and are not picked for a visa have to leave the U.S.

Innovators are welcomed in the Cayman Islands, says Charlie Kirkconnell, CEO of Cayman Enterprise City. They wont encounter any visa difficulties when establishing in Cayman Enterprise City, and entrepreneurs can have their startup operating and their staff on site and working within 10 days.

Concessions granted by the Cayman Islands government fast track licensing and work permits, so entrepreneurs can quickly and efficiently set up a new business with a genuine physical presence in the Cayman Islands, where they can take advantage of the jurisdictions tax neutral status. An international financial center, Cayman is conveniently located less than one hours flight from Miami, and a 3

U.S. Navy selects CTI Electronics for Industrial Pointing Devices

Stratford, CT (PRWEB) July 04, 2013

CTI Electronics gets green light from U.S. Navy to manufacture a military grade industrial pointing device to retrofit its fleet of Cruisers and Destroyers. In cooperation with Lockheed Martin, CTI is producing a NEMA 4X (IP66) sealed hand held Industrial Mouse in a stainless steel enclosure with an aluminum cradle for secured storage.

CTI Electronics has been supplying rugged computer peripheral and motion control devices to U.S. armed forces for over 20 years. Its commitment to long term product availability is only part of the reason for the selection of the Industrial Mouse pointing device. The ability to meet military specification standards, ensure high reliability and durability, within a tight budget was essential. Sequestration may have reduced budgets but it doesnt mean sacrificing on quality products that the men and women of the U.S. armed forces deserve.

The Industrial Mouse is a high precision joystick that allows computer cursor control in harsh environments. It prevents liquid or debris ingress, operates in extreme temperature ranges, and protects against electromagnetic interference as well as radio frequency signals. The selected M20U9-N3 pointing device has a standard USB connection with three mouse buttons on the enclosure and a left mouse button on the joystick.

The key design feature that solidified the selection of this hand held pointing device was its ease of use. The Industrial Mouse provided precision control of the mouse cursor with an instantaneous point-n-click button on the joystick. Speed and accuracy were paramount in the selection process by the military crew members. Secure and convenient storage of the pointing device was also a critical factor onboard the vessel. The aluminum cradle is mounted to a non-movable surface which securely holds the hand held pointing device with padded rubber gaskets. The design provides the operator with the freedom of usage either in or out of the cradle based upon the conditions at sea.

Along with several industrial pointing device choices, CTI offers a number of manufacturing options to tailor a device to the requirements of the application. The modular design allows sub-assemblies to be interchanged; producing hundreds of possible combinations, while still maintaining a rapid order to delivery process. For those Original Equipment Manufacturers and Systems Integrators that require a custom human machine interface device, CTIs engineering and fabrication expertise can be contracted.

About CTI

CTI Electronics Corporation is a leading U.S. manufacturer of rugged industrial computer peripherals. Products range from keyboards, joysticks, trackballs, to switches used as operator input devices, mouse pointers, or motion control devices. Designed to operate in extreme temperature ranges (-40oC to +85oC) while under harsh conditions these devices offer a NEMA 4 (IP66) watertight sealing. The commercial off the shelf human machine interface solutions can be customized to the original equipment manufacturer or systems integrator build to print specifications.
