FxPlug is a visual-effects plug-in architecture developed by Apple's Professional Applications group. Apple Motion is the first application to provide support for the FxPlug SDK. FxPlug dynamically extends the visual effects supported by Motion.

Continuum Complete is a comprehensive suite of native plug-in filters and transitions for Adobe® After Effects®, Adobe Premiere Pro®, Apple Final Cut Pro®, Apple Motion, Discreet® Combustion® and Boris Red systems. Motion delivers high-performance, real-time motion graphics design and integration with Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro. Motion's built-in effects are also developed with this SDK architecture. BCC currently integrates with Motion, using the Adobe After Effects plug-in architecture.

The FxPlug SDK is compact, yet powerful. It lets developers create unique CPU-based effects or hardware-accelerated effects that leverage technologies such as OpenGL, CoreGraphics, or CoreImage. The FxPlug SDK can be used to create two types of effects, video filters and video generators. A filter operates on an input video image to output a video image; a generator does not require an input image.

Continuum Complete lets users create compelling imagery with more than 150 filters that complement Motion's native capabilities. Continuum's three-dimensional compositing environment, includes tumble, spin and rotate, animated lights and perspective camera. The Z-Space filters allow objects to intersect, interact with lights and cast shadows on each other. A suite of Film filters provide sophisticated Grain management. Temporal effects feature state-of-the-art optical flow technology to smoothly retime clips.

The Continuum product line consists of Continuum Complete, Continuum Complete AVX and Continuum for Discreet Sparks. Continuum Complete is for users of Adobe® After Effects®, Adobe Premiere Pro®, Apple® Final Cut Pro®, Apple Motion and Discreet® combustion® and Boris Red® systems. Continuum Complete AVX is for users of Avid® nonlinear editing systems. Continuum Complete for Discreet Sparks® is for users of Discreet Inferno®, Fire®, Flame®, Flint® and Smoke® systems.

EMA Automates 3D STEP Models With EDABuilder Library Automation Solution

This approach enables customers to take advantage of a “single data sheet input source” for both automation and verification between the mechanical and electrical models. Consistency and verification insures a complete and validated set of engineering models for both the electrical and mechanical engineers. With the industry-standard STEP format and schematic symbols, and PCB footprints exported in multiple EDA formats, customers will realize the competitive advantage of EDABuilder, which supports the wide range of customer owned CAD system exports.

PCB footprint automation is supported across the full range of component families including 100% of surface mount parts defined in IPC-7351 as well as commonly used through-hole parts, and all have 3D model generation capabilities.

The process, driven by rules, settings, and form entered component dimensioning, accurately builds both PCB footprints and the 3D STEP models in a consistent and repetitive process. Users enter via the forms the PCB component dimensioning using the IPC-7351 or recommended manufacturer dimensioning. The mechanical dimensioning is entered on the same forms and displayed on both the front and side mechanical views.

Mapping and scaling is performed automatically based on the component type to an embedded 3D template. Using this template technology, fine levels of granularity and details are achieved. The 3D STEP models can be imported directly into the mechanical design tools, where additional details, graphics, or corporate styles may be applied. They may also be exported directly into Cadence® Allegro® and OrCAD® PCB Editors with origins, offsets, and alignments automatically assigned.

EDABuilder 3.0 includes a number of other enhancements including the ability to import symbol and footprint libraries from a number of popular schematic and PCB editing tools. This allows comparison between a schematic symbol and a PCB footprint to verify consistency between the components. Making these comparisons ahead of time helps engineers and designers find library problems earlier in the design process, reducing change costs and time.

“Providing the capability to create so many different 3D STEP models automatically will be a big help for any designer that wants to view a PCB design in 3D,” said Keith Felton, Product Marketing Group Director, Cadence Design Systems. “It also helps the MCAD team to start their work with a 3D board populated with correct models.”

In the event of a server outage, the local device, which can be configured with up to 36gb of RAM and RAID arrays of up to 10 terabytes, can be brought up as a Virtual Copy of the downed server in as little as 30 seconds. No matter what OS or role the source server was handling Exchange, SQL, File / Print, or Domain Controller the Sentinel can become a virtual twin of that server. With the higher level models, as many as 16 servers can be run off of one Sentinel device.

Sentinel also provides true business continuity: if the entire client-site is lost, the client can easily declare a disaster, and remotely access their data on virtual servers located in co-location facilities where their nightly backups are stored. These virtual servers can be accessed either from users homes, or from dedicated hot-seat facilities. When the clients site resumes operation, a Sentinel device, complete with all up-to-date, modified data, will be express shipped to the clients site, where bare-metal restores can take place onto the clients servers. No lengthy over-the-internet downloads or complicated fail-back processes are required.

Onboard Diagnostics, Global Positioning System (GPS) & Radar Detection featuring two graphic user interfaces (GUI), onboard and remote. The onboard GUI utilizes a secure tablet deployed from the dash when activated by the biometric palm reader in the center console.

The SAFE car is sold exclusively by SAFE. The SAFE Car design is not manufacture-specific and can be custom-designed by SAFE to be compatible with virtually all vehicle makes and models. SAFE will exclusively customize, manufacture and install the SAFE Car features.
