WebKeepers, Inc. Affiliates With SWsoft, Inc. Announces Release of Cost-Effective VPS Service for 24.95 Dollars a Month

(PRWEB) October 20, 2004

WebKeepers is headquartered in California, United States. The Company is headed by CEO Paul Vinueza and its website is located at GMO Hosting and Technologies, Inc. (“GMO H&T”) is based in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan and is capitalized at 3.9 million dollers. The company president is Mitsuru Aoyama, and its website is located at SWsoft, Inc. is headquartered in Virginia, United States. The CEO is Serguei Beloussov and the website is located at

The VPS Service developed by WebKeepers focuses on a stable operating performance that is on a par with the performance expected of a private server, as well as the functionality and convenience of a control panel that can handle both Japanese and English. Because the service incorporates SWsoft’s HSPcomplete 3.0, the account administrator is able to execute server administrative operations easily, such as maintaining multiple domains, adding users, starting up an Apache server, installing applications and managing the database—operations that were difficult with the conventional shared server—by using the control panel with its graphical user interface. By assigning partitions to multiple domains, a private control panel is provided for each partition, and the end user can operate an independent website. The VPS Service responds to a broad array of needs from individuals to corporations operating multiple domains.

Main features of the VPS Service

1)Excellent management function for server resources The management function assigns server resources such as memory and CPU to each account equally and automatically, preventing deterioration in server performance caused by high-load site operation.

2)Flexible server operation with root authority. The root authority enables users to make Apache settings to suit their purpose, install applications and reboot the server. In other words, the service offers the kind of flexibility found with a private server.

3)Easy backup with a simple click. It is easy to make multiple backups with mirroring by RAID and disk backup executed every day. It is also possible to readily back up from the control panel at the user side.

4)HSPcomplete 3.0 control panel compatible with both Japanese and English. The account administrator has access to a control panel with displays in both Japanese and English. By setting the user authority of the registered user, a control panel configured to that authority can be provided for each user. It is possible to execute all operations required for server management via the control panel, which boasts outstanding functionality.

To make the service available to customers worldwide, a Spanish-language control panel will be added to the English and Japanese versions in December 2004.

RI Injury Lawyers Release New Infographic on Common Causes of Healthcare Infections

(PRWEB) September 30, 2013

Hospital infections can be caused by improper sterilization practices, unsanitary hospital conditions, or using single-use medical devices for multiple patients. Government statistics show that every 1.7 million people contract a hospital-related infection causing close to 99,000 deaths. The most common illnesses caused by this condition are pneumonia, bloodstream infections, urinary tract infections, and surgical site infections (i). People who have contracted an infection due to treatment at a clinic, hospital, or nursing home, should talk to a Rhode Island medical malpractice lawyer about their rights.

According to a CBS News article on September 2, 2013, a new medical study has found that hospital infections cost $ 9.8 billion every year. On average this bloodstream infections increase a patient’s medical bills by $ 45,814 and surgical site infections increase this amount by $ 20,785. According to the article, 20,000 lives could be saved and up to $ 6 billion could be saved by using better practices (ii). This condition can lead to substantial losses due to medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, scarring, disfigurement, and death.

Attorney Paul d’Oliveira stated, “People go to the hospital with the expectation that they will be treated and their condition will improve but in too many cases these people suffer further injury due to an infection. Our firm has worked on a number of these lawsuits. In one case, we maintained joint responsibility with another lawyer for a man whose leg was amputated after the surgical site was infected. Our legal staff is ready to answer any questions you have about your legal rights in these situations.”

The hospital infections infographic lists the common infections and their causes. d’Oliveira & Associates focuses exclusively injury lawsuits and disability claims. The attorneys at the law firm have experience helping clients throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The firm also works with medical malpractice lawyers, who handle these types of lawsuits, and there are no legal fees unless a settlement or award is obtained. HealthLeaders Media and Bank of America Merrill Lynch Release New Report in “Executive Insight” Project

Danvers, MA (PRWEB) August 16, 2013

HealthLeaders Media, a division of HCPro, Inc., and Bank of America Merrill Lynch have released a new research report as part of their collaborative "Executive Insight" project, designed to provide healthcare executives with insight into the economics of their industry. It is the third installment of a four-part series, consisting of quarterly buzz surveys on industry topics, Executive Insight reports analyzing the results of each survey and executive Roundtable discussions with senior finance executives from Bank of America Merrill Lynch and top provider organizations.

The report Top Skills for Top Executives analyzes the results of this months buzz survey, in which senior leaders from hospitals, health systems, physician organizations and other groups were asked to rank the importance of executive skills and about their willingness to seek outside resources. A total of 153 completed surveys are included in the analysis, which included 58 Senior Leaders.

"Clearly, leaders in the healthcare industry feel that in this time of acquiring, divesting, merging and blending, job No. 1 is adaptability and a strong vision for their organization," says John Hesselmann, Specialized Industries executive at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Part of the companys Global Commercial Banking business, Specialized Industries provides healthcare clients with solutions such as core credit and treasury management, and also helps provide leasing, retirement capabilities and other capital-raising products.

In one of the unexpected takeaways of the survey, the report reveals a preference for so-called "soft" skills over subject expertise; a majority of healthcare leaders cite communication as the most important skill for an executive in the healthcare industry-- above medical training, technical knowledge, and even the ability to understand health reform. Also topping the list of executive skills is a vision for transformative cultural change and an ability to set the course for that change.

Seeking external guidance and outsourcing expertise continue to be common leadership practices. Among the top external resources sought by executives are legal services and technology consultants.

"If executives can do something less expensively by hiring a tech consultant, or preserve liquidity by not making a capital investment in information technology, it makes sense to outsource those things," says Charles Alston, senior vice president and market executive for healthcare at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Respondents were also asked to reflect on their key motivators for financial expertise. The common theme was preparation: long-term financial strategic and capital planning. In todays healthcare climate, it has become increasingly essential to understand all possible scenarios related to healthcare reform and market shifts that could impact the cost of capital.

The report features an executive spotlight with Kenneth Semmet, President and CEO of MedStar Health, a 10-hospital system serving the Baltimore-Washington area. Semmet helms a patient-focused initiative called MedStar 2020, which plots a transition from acute episodic care to integrated but widely distributed care. The program is rooted in the ideologies of philanthropy and effective communication.

"We often think of communication as speaking, but I also think theres a great opportunity in listening. Our associates have significant ideas about how we can evolve, and we have to create the right structure in the organization to allow them to be heard," says Semmet.

As a supplement to the "Executive Insight" research, HealthLeaders Media has also launched a dedicated Executive Insight Center microsite on (, featuring healthcare business resources and expert analysis.

The next project in the collaboration between HealthLeaders Media and Bank of America Merrill Lynch is scheduled for a September launch and will focus on "Opportunities from Financial Efficiencies."

Raima to Preview RDM Embedded 10.0, the Upcoming Release of Their Popular Embedded Database, at ESC Silicon Valley 2010

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) April 16, 2010

Raima, a Birdstep Technology Company (OSE: BIRD), which offers state-of-the-art embedded database and dataflow technologies, today announced that they will be giving a preview of the next version of RDM Embedded, expected to be released in June, at this years ESC Silicon Valley 2010. They will also be showing their dataFlow technology demo which they have extended to include the MontaVista Linux 6 platform. The show held in the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose California runs from April 26th through April 29th. Raima/Birdstep can be found in booth number 2106.

"We are very excited about the upcoming release of our popular embedded database, RDM Embedded commented Steinar Sande, CEO." "Our engineers have completed a significant redesign of the database engine. The new engine can now take full advantage of todays multicore processors. Where RDM Embedded was fast before it is now, in some cases, as much as 300% faster. In addition, horizontal scaling has been dramatically improved to take full advantage of hardware (i.e. disk drives, flash memory, RAM, etc.) which might later be added to the system."

Raima will also be showing their dataflow demo in their booth. New to the demo is the addition of a singleboard computer running RDM Embedded on the MontaVista Linux 6 operating system.

Raimas RDMe dataFlow technology is a direct response to todays embedded system developers continue to face the difficult problem of efficiently storing and managing large amounts of data on resource-constrained devices. These single computer resource constraint devices range anything from sensors and robots on the shop floor to flight data systems deployed on fighter jets. Adding to this problem is the growing need of business intelligence and enterprise systems to gain access to the data now captured and stored on these devices. More often these days the requirement is to access data in real-time or near real-time. This live demo demonstrates how the RDMe dataFlow technology can be used to move data from one device to aggregation points, business intelligence systems and/or distributing the data to additional devices.

"What is really exciting is RDMe dataFlow engines ability to not only move data between instances of RDM Embedded and RDM Server but also its unique ability to move data to other non Raima database systems technologies such as Oracle

Test Equipment Connection Announces Release of New GW Instek GPT 9902A Electrical Safety Testers

(PRWEB) May 25, 2013

Test Equipment Connection Announces Release of New GW Instek GPT 9902A Electrical Safety Testers beginning May 23, 2013.

GWInstek is launching a new safety tester family, the GPT-9900 series, with 500VA maximum output capacity to the market. The family of four, including GPT-9904, GPT-9903, GPT-9902A and GPT-9901A, come joining the GPT-9800 series, which carries 200VA output capacity, to serve the market with higher power demands for the safety tests of electronic products and components. The GPT-9000 series supports the major test items among all the needed for the compliance of the safety standards such as IEC, EN, UL, CSA, GB, JIS and other safety regulations.

The GPT-9900 series is built upon a platform of AC 500VA maximum power output. The GPT-9904 is a 4-in-1 model capable of performing AC withstanding, DC withstanding, insulation resistance and ground bond tests, whereas the GPT-9903 is a 3-in-1 model capable of performing AC withstanding, DC withstanding and insulation resistance tests. The GPT-9902A is capable of performing both AC and DC withstanding tests whereas The GPT-9901A is able to only perform AC withstanding tests. The GPT-9900 series safety tester follows every good feature and advantage of the GPT-9800 series. The high-efficiency PWM amplifier is the core of GPT-9900 platform design to impede the influence from the voltage fluctuation of input AC source. The output voltage is automatically cut off (within 150s) upon the detection of an abnormal output voltage or a trip of current limits during test to protect the operator from hazardous injury. The GPT-9900 series automatically discharges the DUT after each test to eliminate excessive voltage that remains on the DUT.

Following a tidy and easy-to-use design concept, the GPT-9900 series is equipped with a simple & clear panel layout, a high resolution dot matrix LCD display, and color LED indicators, allowing operators to interpret measurement results easily and quickly. In the role as the complement of 200VA safety testers, the GPT-9900 series is designed upon a 500VA output platform to enhance all major test functions, including AC withstanding (AC 5kV/100mA), DC withstanding (DC 6kV/20mA), insulation resistance (DC 50V ~ 1000V/50G max.) and ground bond (AC 32A max./650m max.) tests, with high-power measurement capabilities. Further more, the test duration, ramp up time and upper/lower limits of the output voltage are fully-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of safety tests with accurate measurement results. The Sweep function of the GPT-9900 series is able to display the test results point by point all through the testing period to form a trace graph. This graphic display performs the characteristic verification of a DUT through observing the parameter response to the changes of the applied voltage or current or testing time. On the graph a movable marker is available to get the parameter reading on the specific point of users interest.

Other significant functions and features of the GPT-9900 series include the rear panel output for system applications, the open-circuit detection to ensure proper connections of apparatus for ground bond test, 100 sets of memory to save and recall the panel settings for individual or sequential tests, a remote output on-off terminal in the front panel and a signal I/O port in the rear panel provided as the means for remote start/stop control of the safety tester, and RS-232C, USB and GPIB (optional) interfaces available for PC remote control and test result logging.
