IntelliChoice.com's Best New Car Deals for June Show Rebates Moving from SUVs and Trucks to Cars : - Automakers now offering cash back on all vehicle segments from compacts to full-size pickups -

CAMPBELL, Calif. (PRWEB) June 13, 2008

"Our Best Deals of this month are a clear indication that large vehicles, especially Sport Utility Vehicles and trucks, are in crisis mode," said James Bell, publisher and editor of IntelliChoice.com. "Truck makers continue to offer rebates of more than $ 3,000 and $ 4,000 dollars, and for the second month in a row, the Isuzu Ascender is offering one of the highest rebates we've seen all year: $ 7,000. That's a number that would have been unheard of just a few months ago. All of this cash on the hood is a Catch-22 for buyers, because while they can get an amazing deal on a gas guzzler, they could well feel a squeeze on their wallets when they go to the pump."

Bell is quick to point out that all vehicle classes are feeling the impact of the auto market downturn. "A higher rebate is the deciding factor behind more than half of the winners' classes. The Toyota Yaris Hatchback beat out the MINI Cooper Hatchback in the subcompact class, and the Corolla beat the popular Civic purely due to rebate numbers. This month it should be mentioned that the Lincoln Town Car beat the Infiniti M35 in the luxury class, based on the strength of a $ 5,000 rebate. That will come as a surprise to many consumers."

One consistent Best Deal winner not yet impacted by rebates - the Toyota Tacoma. "The Tacoma has long been a mainstay on IntelliChoice.com's Best Deals list. I'm sure this has something to do with the fact that the Tacoma is a compact pickup truck and people still want utility without the burden of high fuel prices."

IntelliChoice.com's "Best Deals of the Month" identify new cars, trucks, and SUVs with the best ownership cost value in 33 respective classes. Selections are based on current car pricing, market conditions and the lowest national manufacturer consumer new car rebate. In addition, IntelliChoice.com uses the latest information from numerous automotive resources to evaluate what it costs to buy, own and operate each new model-year trim line over a five-year basis.

Rebates and Employee Pricing Determine IntelliChoice.com’s Best Deals for September : GM beats Toyota in certain classes with extended Employee Pricing Program; Dodge breaks Chevrolet’s Reign in the Large Pick Up classes

Rebates and Employee Pricing Determine IntelliChoice.com's Best Deals for September : GM beats Toyota in certain classes with extended Employee Pricing Program; Dodge breaks Chevrolet's Reign in the Large Pick Up classes

CAMPBELL, Calif. (PRWEB) September 10, 2008

"The big news this month is that GM has taken honors in two new segments on September's Best Deals list. This is a bit of a mixed blessing, as GM's September winners are largely SUVs and trucks that are benefiting from large car rebates and the extension of last month's Employee Discount Car Pricing promotion. But we have to give credit where credit is due," said James Bell, publisher and editor of IntelliChoice.com. "Please note that HUMMER made our list twice. Some may be shocked by this news because of a perception of high maintenance, repair and, especially, fuel costs. This perception may tie back to the original H1 model. However, the HUMMER H3 and H2 are based on standard GM platforms and do not suffer the same issues. The H3 held its spot for Intermediate SUV from August, but the H2 knocked out the Lexus GX in the Luxury SUV category thanks to its $ 6,000 rebate, one of this month's highest."

Bell also noted that IntelliChoice.com's list of Best Deals for September shows that regular contenders will need to up their game if they want to stay on the Best Deals list. "Models within many vehicle segments are close in value, which shows why incentives are such a factor. The Chevy Silverado has dominated the Full-Size pickup truck segments for months on the back of $ 1,000 and $ 2,000 rebates. Lincoln offered a $ 6,500 rebate on the Mark LT 4WD. It's also worth noting that in the small and midsize car segments, auto makers will need to significantly increase their incentives if they want to displace Toyota and Honda. Another case in point is the Lincoln Town Car. The Town Car was neck in neck with the Saab 9-5 Wagon, but Lincoln is offering a staggering rebate of $ 8,750."

IntelliChoice.com's "Best Deals of the Month" identify new cars, trucks, and SUVs with the best ownership cost value in 33 respective classes. Selections are based on current car prices, market conditions and the lowest national manufacturer consumer new car rebate. IntelliChoice.com’s Best Deals List for November Shows Auto Rebates Piling Up : Monthly List of Best Car Deals Indicate a Buyer’s Market

IntelliChoice.com's Best Deals List for November Shows Auto Rebates Piling Up : Monthly List of Best Car Deals Indicate a Buyer's Market

CAMPBELL, Calif. (PRWEB) November 17, 2008

"November Best Deals have picked up where October's left off. It continues to be a buyer's market, plain and simple. If anyone is in the market for a car, especially an SUV or large sedan, now is a great time to do your homework and visit your local dealer," said James Bell, editor of IntelliChoice.com. "The heaviest rebates of all are for previously unsung vehicles. Certain November winners, like the Kia Sorrento, Kia Sedona, and Subaru Tribeca, knocked out more common value brands like Toyota or Hummer thanks to heavier incentives."

Bell noted that IntelliChoice.com's list of Best Deals continues to evolve thanks to the ratcheting up of rebates and cash incentives. "The Lincoln MKZ has been noted as November's best value near luxury car over the Lexus ES thanks in part to its $ 3,500 rebate. I predict that we will see more flux among manufacturers based on the impact of such high rebates. In the full size pick-up class, the Lincoln Mark LT 2WD was named Best Deal over the Toyota Tundra Regular Cab 2WD due to the Lincoln's $ 8,500 rebate. That is a number that would have been unheard of just a few months ago. This is undoubtedly a great opportunity for consumers, but they have to stay on their toes and make sure they have the most up to date Best Deals list to help identify the smartest purchases."

Intellichoice.Com’s Best Car Values For September Shows Rebates Abound, Post Cash-For-Clunkers

Intellichoice.Com's Best Car Values For September Shows Rebates Abound, Post Cash-For-Clunkers

Campbell, CA (PRWEB) September 17, 2009

IntelliChoice.com, the leading source for automotive ownership cost and car values analysis, today announced its "Best Deals of the Month" for new car values for September 2009. The list offers consumers and industry observers insight into which cars, trucks and SUVs offer the best value over a five-year period. This month, brands such as Volvo, Hyundai, Chrysler and Dodge all share the list with long-time winners such as Toyota and Honda.

What's New and Notable

Small car classes remain highly competitive, with Best Deals stalwarts such as the Honda Fit, Toyota Prius, MINI Cooper and Toyota Corolla all vying to remain on top. Very few of the small car classes feature new car rebates of any kind, supporting the trend of consumers remaining on the hunt for greater fuel-efficiency and better car values.

Rebates of the Month

The Pontiac Solstice's $ 2,500 rebate is enough to put it over the top against the Volkswagen GTI, which won the same class in August and has a very strong following among auto enthusiasts. Also, Volvo car values continue to be competitive with new car rebates of $ 6,500 on the C70, $ 7,500 on the S60 and $ 6,250 on the S80.

Trending Up

Volkswagen, which holds sway in three very competitive classes: the Jetta TDI Wagon holds the top spot among Compacts over $ 17,000 and among Small/Midsize Wagons. The Touareg, which has not often made IntelliChoice.com's Best Deals list, is tops among Midsize Crossovers.

"The Jetta TDI has the potential to be one of those game-changing cars, much like the Toyota Prius," said Eric Anderson, senior analyst for IntelliChoice.com. "The diesel-powered Jetta TDI has five-year ownership costs that are hard to beat."

The Domestics

There are some bright spots for GM and Chrysler, whose winners have largely come in the large truck classes. This month, with the help of rebates, the Pontiac Solstice Coupe beats out the Volkswagen GTI, and the Jeep Compass takes over the Compact Utility/Crossover class from the Saturn VUE Hybrid.

The Winners

IntelliChoice.com's "Best Deals of the Month" rank which new cars, trucks, crossovers and SUVs deliver the best cost of ownership in 31 vehicle classes. The best car values for September 2009 are:

The Methodology

IntelliChoice.com's "Best Deals of the Month" analyzes monthly car values based on the seven primary factors that determine a vehicle's long-term ownership costs: fuel economy, maintenance, repair, retained or resale value, licensing, state fees and taxes. Using these seven factors, IntelliChoice.com determines what it costs to own and operate new cars over a five-year basis. The firm examines each and every new car model-year trim line, as ownership costs can vary significantly among different trim lines of the same model.

IntelliChoice.com updates new car values data several times a month from numerous automotive resources, such as fuel costs from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, and captures the latest new car rebates and ongoing incentive programs offered by manufacturers. Visit http://www.intellichoice.com for complete car value rankings, including the best used cars on the market.

Heavy Rebates Impact IntelliChoice.com’s Best New Car Deals for May : Top deals include the Hyundai Sonata among large cars and the Nissan Quest in minivans

CAMPBELL, Calif. (PRWEB) May 13, 2008

"The cars that we have identified as best deals for consumers are changing from month to month largely due to all of the new cash on the hood we are seeing," said James Bell, publisher and editor of IntelliChoice.com. "There are some amazing rebates on some larger cars, all SUVs and many trucks. Rising gas prices and reluctant consumers are really starting to impact the industry."

"The thing to know about auto rebates is that they can fluctuate heavily from month to month and week to week," said Bell. "Today's car buyer is wise to check out the most recent rebates before making any decisions. For example, there are vehicles that we rarely see on our Best Deals list, such as the Isuzu Ascender with a $ 7,000 rebate this month, and the Nissan Quest minivan with a $ 3,500 rebate. Plus, the rebates we are seeing on certain full-size trucks are extraordinary. Note that the Dodge Ram wins all but one of May's full size truck categories."

Bell also noted that with gas prices so high, the Best Deals for May include a who's who of well-known small cars, but even smaller cars are not immune to the car rebate factor. Bell said, "In the subcompact class, the MINI Cooper Hatchback beats the Toyota Yaris Hatchback because there is no rebate on the Yaris."

IntelliChoice.com's "Best Deals of the Month" identify new cars, trucks, and SUVs with the best ownership cost value in 33 respective classes.
