Powerview

PowerView enables you to view your story structure in a customizable color-coded visual manner alongside your selected Reference Outline.

Your structure is divided into five main sections: Prologue, Act I, Act II, Act III and Denouement, and within Act II there are two Turning Points and the story's Mid-Point. Each stage has its own popup window explaining what it represents and what should be happening in your story at that point.

You can customize the colors for each stage and adjust the scene start points to reflect the structure of your own story, however the Reference Plugin structure is independent of your own in order to help you visually gauge the progress of your story in comparison to your selected movie outline.

With a single click you can expand and collapse the entire outline or individual scenes to reveal or hide scene information, adjust the displayed font, text size and window size to suit your needs and all your settings will automatically be saved for the next time you launch Movie Outline and PowerView.

Smartsearch

SmartSearch enables you to keep track of a character, story development, plot device, keyword or phrase through your entire outline in a practical, visual manner.

Simply enter the character name or word you wish to search, such as "John" or "gun", in the SmartSearch window, or select a word in the main outline screen and choose SmartSearch from the new right-click Contextual Menu, and you will instantly see a small blue arrow icon appear beside the title of every scene that includes this text in PowerView, and the line that contains the searched word will be highlighted in red.

You can also independently search words in your currently loaded Reference Outline and both user and reference words will be stored in memory each time you access PowerView.

HTML Export

As well as being able to print and export your outlines to plain text files, rich text files and PDF documents, Movie Outline 2.0 now enables you to export your outline with the current PowerView structure colors to an HTML web page.

You can choose to display a Color Key at the top of your web page and export either a full outline of Titles and Scenes or just a list of Titles. With HTML Export you now have the option of sharing your color-coded outline on the web or with colleagues!

Story Tasks

When writing a story, there are always bound to be ideas popping up along the way about characters and plot points, such as: I must remember to make Jessica find the gun in scene 12 or John should meet Mary before he gets mugged but after his date with Abby. You can't control when inspiration strikes and that's exactly where Story Tasks come in!

To help you keep track of all those complex character arcs, plot devices and story objectives, Movie Outline 2.0 now enables you to keep a task list specific to each outline you create. You can check, uncheck or delete completed tasks and print a full list of task Titles and Notes or just a list of Titles.

The film took 2 years in the making (April 2002-Feb 2004) at a cost $ 6.3 million and is ready for a world-wide theatrical release. The movie has already been screened in Singapore and Bombay where the movie won good reviews. It is currently looking for an international distributor to do theatrical release.Blazeway LLC (http://www.blaze-way.com) is handling the movies marketing efforts in the US.

Directed by Shamboo Falke, Buddha is Co-produced by the Singapore Economic Development Board and Pentamedia Graphics Limited. The story written by Sujatha is based on the book The Light of Asia by Edwin Arnold. Other credits include Anjan Cariappa -creative director, Makrand Joshi - Animation director, while the technical director is Sumathi Sridharan who is also Vice President, Pentamedia.

"Most movies have a story that focuses on a particular timeline in the protagonist’s life. In Buddha the story begins right from pre-birth up till the time he attains enlightenment." says Shamboo Phalke, director Buddha.

Possessive and indulgent about the project that he devoted more than 30 months of his life to, Phalke continues, "The story is divided into 3 phases, Buddha as a child, Buddha as a young prince and finally Buddha as the crown prince when he gets married and has a child. The phase when Buddha is a child is again divided into the time when he is a baby and when he is a little kid. It was extremely challenging to maintain the same look even while the character was constantly growing, evolving."

Continuing he says," We have consciously concluded the story when he attains enlightenment because we wanted to avoid going into the phase which is more focused on religion. "

"Also great care has been taken depicting the father-son relationship between Buddha and his father. Though Buddha defied his father when he renounced the world, there existed a great bond of love between father and son, we have focused on that aspect. A greater part of our audience comprising of children, we were very careful when portraying the relationship."

The one thing which Buddha has going for itself is the Pan Asian appeal of the subject.

The movie has been Co-Produced with the Singapore Economic Development Board and the production work was carried out simultaneously in three countries, India, Phillipines and Singapore.

"A team of more than 400 animators worked in Phillipines alone" says Phalke. We also trained more than a 100 people in Singapore, who did eventually work on some characters out of the total of a 100 odd characters in the movie. Technology transfer is the main reason that motivated the Singapore EDB to get involved with the project."

"About 4.5 lakh frames were drawn of which 4 lakh were finally used in the movie.

The software used was US Animation 5.1 For ink & paint- (Hardware - HP Visualize 1 GB RAM, 10 GB HDD, Pentium III)

"We are very excited about this film and the real challenge will be in positioning the film, with Indian content, in the International markets. The movie is releasing in Mumbai on the 10th of September and we are confident that it will be well received." said Nirmala Narendra Nath who is looking after the marketing and release of the movie.

"Besides children, the movie is also targeted at lovers of animation and SFX." chipped in Sumathi.

Made in English the movie is to be dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Eventually to be released in all the 4 metros in India, the movie releases on 10 September in Mumbai. The Mumbai territory will have three to four prints which will be rotated every 2 weeks for 2 months and the rest depending on the response.

Overseas, releases have been planned for USA, Europe and Asia. In Asia which is a potentially more receptive market for Buddha, negotiations are on with distributors for China, while sponsored shows are planned for Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Plans are also afoot to pitch the movie for MIPCOM in Cannes this October.

The curtain opens in 1915 on the Irish Sea. Nuncio, an African Grey Parrott, narrates the love story-thriller -Graphic Novel surrounding the Lusitania tragedy that forced American onto the world stage. This romantic thriller by Kristin Alexandre will be released in September 2011.

Nuncio is the first book in the series, a love story and mystery surrounding the relationship between Ezra Mumma, Neci Stanley, and Edith Mumma. Ezra, an inspired composer, has fallen in love with Edith Keister, a beautiful, disturbed pianist. Neci Stanley is a seductive Gypsy. The story unfolds as passengers on board the torpedoed and sinking Lusitania panic. Memories of the Titanic cloud the minds of men and women and chaos rules. Nuncio, is released from his cage to freedom by the celebrated author of "Message to Garcia,” Elbert Hubbard. Hubbard chooses death for himself and his wife but our Gypsy heroine, Neci, fights for her life. She throws Nuncio's wooden cage overboard and jumps into the freezing water.

This love story and drama series take place between 1912-1960, a thriving and productive period for Daytonians. During World War I, heroes emerge, fighting for right and wrong, innocence and prosperity. Author Kristin Alexandre pays homage to the individuals whose creativity and engineering skills launched American into a position of World leadership in the new century. The author’s narrator, Nuncio joins Dayton’s gypsies in bemoaning the loss of wildlife and natural beauty that is inevitable with the rise of industry.

“My story begins with a violent flashforward and then we are catapulted back to 1912, an important year for Dayton. Wilbur Wright died that year at the age of 45. His brother Orville blamed Wilbur's premature death on the exhausting patent battles with aviator Glenn Curtis. This was also the year that Charles Kettering's electric ignition starter was introduced to the public by Cadillac. The dangerous car crank was now obsolete and women could master the car as well as men. Charles Kettering, The Wright Brothers and other people in the book were friends and neighbors of my grandparents, aunts, uncles and close family,” explains Alexandre.

This graphic novel is a passionate love story with drama and mystery as two lovers struggle through a trying time. It’s a tribute to Alexandre’s own family history.

“I have written three previous books about relationships. The story of Neci Stanley and Ezra Mumma evolved out of a family story. A beautiful Gypsy girl from Dayton seduced my great grandfather. The graphic novel or cartoon book format was suggested by my grown children,” continues Alexandre.
