Cloud Expo Europe moves to ExCeL London to meet 45% growth in demand

London, UK (PRWEB UK) 16 August 2013

Huge surge in demand from some of the worlds biggest technology companies has led to the UKs Best Trade Show*, Cloud Expo Europe, moving to ExCeL for its 2014 event in February.

Following the success of the 2013 show at Olympia, which attracted more than 6,850 attendees, AWS, Dell, NTT and Outsourcery have already joined the growing list of exhibitors for the 2014 event, which will take place later than usual on the 26th and 27th February.

The expansion to ExCeL provides room for new additions to the Expo, including a Software Defined Networking programme, dedicated Big Data content and a new dedicated programme for developers all designed to attract more decision-makers from enterprises, service providers and the cloud ecosystem.

An impressive range of speakers, headed up by Netflix CTO Adrian Cockroft, will also have the crowds flocking to the event. Confirmed panel speakers include Chris Kemp, CEO of Nebula and former CTO at NASA, Daniel Leabeau, Group CIO at GlaxoSmithKline, as well as cloud computing experts from eBay, PayPal, Vodafone, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Philips and Citibank.

Thomas Standley, Cloud Expo Europe Show Director, said: The move to ExCeL is a really strong and positive move to build on the rapidly growing success of Cloud Expo Europe. Vitally, it means we now have as much room to grow as we need, all on one level and with our Keynote and other content hubs located right at the heart of the show, driving traffic to exhibitors' stands.

To accommodate the move we have also moved the event to the end of February. This will be welcomed by many, as show preparations have previously been disrupted by Christmas and it also allows us to run an even more effective campaign in the two months prior to the event.

The move has also been welcomed by exhibitors, including Omer Wilson, Marketing Director EMEA at Digital Realty, who said: We have seen Cloud Expo Europe grow exponentially over the last couple of years and are excited to follow the show to ExCeL as it prepares to grow its visitor and exhibitor numbers even further as Europes leading technology event.

CloserStill has also announced that the event will take place alongside Data Centre World, the largest data centre event in Western Europe. Data Centre World, which was recently acquired by CloserStill, made the move to ExCeL earlier this year and attracted a record-breaking attendance, up 19 per cent on the previous year, and its biggest ever exhibitor line-up.

Phil Nelson, Director of CloserStill, said: The combination of Cloud Expo Europe and Data Centre World is a compelling prospect. Both events will retain their separate identities, entrances, content and audiences but the two events together, with over 300 exhibitors and more than 10,000 visitors, will instantly be the biggest IT and technology gathering in the UK.

Jonathan Brown, Marketing Director of leading Cloud Expo Europe exhibitor Interoute, also endorsed the co-location with DCW: Relocating Cloud Expo Europe to the ExCeL Centre is a smart move, positioning the event in a world class venue. Running the show alongside Data Centre World should attract many more delegates to the event, boosting the conversations and interactions that have made this such a successful show for us in the past.

*On 21st June Cloud Expo Europe won the exhibition industry's Blue Riband award, the Association of Exhibition Organisers' Best Trade Show accolade for an unprecedented second successive year

Private Investigators London Comment on the Importance of Proper Regulation of Private Detectives through Licensing in Light of BBC News Report: Private Detectives to Need Licence

(PRWEB UK) 31 July 2013

According to the recent BBC News report dated 31 July 2013: Private detectives to need licence, operating as an unlicensed private detective will be illegal from autumn 2014. Home Office plans are to license all investigators through the Security Industry Authority after completing a training course and passing a criminality check. Home Secretary Theresa May said: "It is vital we have proper regulation of private investigators to ensure rigorous standards in this sector and the respect of individuals' rights to privacy.

The BBC News report goes on to say that anyone with a criminal record for data protection offences will not be granted a licence. These offences include unlawful interception of data, accessing data on computers without owners permission, bribery and blagging information from call centres. Under the new law all contractors will need to be licensed and the penalty for operating without a valid licence could be a custodial sentence of six months.

This long awaited move by the government to licence the private detective industry has been well received by Private Investigators London. The regulation of the industry is good news for the many legitimate private detective companies in the UK. Weeding out the rouge investigators that plague the industry is a positive and welcome step promoting trust and credibility in an industry that has received unpopular press coverage in recent years. Regulation is important as it keeps people safe from rouge investigators, gives rules and guidelines that investigators can follow to operate within the law and gives the industry credibility.

Spokesperson from Private Investigators London, Jamie Rower said:

The industry has been crying out for licensing and we at Private Investigators London are delighted by the news, in fact, we are already studying for the exam in the autumn.

Private Investigators London along with their sister company Private Detectives Manchester is a team of highly trained professional and discreet private investigators and detectives with over 35 years experience in the industry. Their understanding and approachable team of male and female detectives are available 24/7 to conduct matrimonial, corporate and private investigation

Imagining Nathan Hales New London

New London, CT (PRWEB) June 15, 2012

The 1,200-s.f. building in which Connecticuts Official State Hero, Nathan Hale, taught New Londons youth for 16 months will soon host a new panel exhibit, called, Nathan Hales New London.

The Connecticut Sons of the American Revolution have teamed up with graphic novelist Lora Innes, who has been writing and illustrating an online and print comic about Revolutionary War history since 2007. With assistance from historian Rachel Smith, project consultant Jennifer Eifrig of Musevue360, and staff from the New London County Historical Society, Ms. Innes is recreating the New London that Nathan Hale would have encountered in 1774-75, including people, buildings, and landmarks. Says Connecticut SAR Real Property Steward Stephen Shaw, Were telling the story of Nathans work and social life, set in a real place and time. Its the very best kind of public history rooted in research, and made fun and accessible for modern audiences. Adds museum consultant Jennifer Eifrig, This is the first example I know of, in Connecticut at least, where a museum is using the graphic novel medium on the wall. Weve got all the elements of a great narrative, including a likeable hero, fascinating supporting characters, action, conflict, even a bit of romance, all against the backdrop of the looming Revolution that will change everything. And whats so great is that every bit of the story is real history.

The project team spent 2012 researching, fact-checking, and sketching. Our grand opening is just the beginning, says Rachel Smith. Weve uncovered a lot of new information about Nathan Hales New London, that will change the way we think about this city.

Grand Opening June 30, 2012

Visitors are invited to view Nathan Hales New London at the School House, 19 Atlantic St., New London beginning June 30. Starting at 2:00, the opening will feature guest speakers and members of the Connecticut SAR Color Guard in costume. Admission is free.

Drawing the American Revolution

Graphic novelist Lora Innes graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design in 2002. After working in commercial illustration, she began writing and drawing The Dreamer, about a young womans adventures in 1776 ( Ms. Innes cast of characters includes Nathan Hale, who in 1776 was a captain in Knowltons Rangers. Im thrilled at the opportunity to work with Connecticut SAR to tell more of Nathans story, she says. This is just the kind of project that I like.

A New London Landmark Since 1776

Built in 1773, the Union School House, as it was known then, welcomed its first permanent schoolmaster in March of 1774. Nineteen-year-old Nathan Hale was popular with his students and the residents of his adopted city, and when he joined the army in July 1775 he left many concerned friends behind. After the news arrived that he was hanged by the British on Sept. 22, 1776, the people of New London regarded the school house at which he had taught as a local monument to his memory. After being converted to a private residence in the 1830s, and a major fire in 1853, the School House purchased by the Connecticut Sons of the American Revolution in 1900 and opened as one of Connecticuts earliest historic building museums. It was moved for the sixth time in its history in January 2009, and now sits safely on its brand new foundation on the corner of New Londons redesigned public square, The Parade.

About the Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution

The Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution is dedicated to remembering the lives and sacrifices of the patriots of the American Revolution. Its 600 members from throughout the United States have traced their ancestry to Connecticut patriots who gave service for American Independence. Its members in Connecticut regularly participate in Revolutionary War events and ceremonies, sponsor and conduct research, and preserve and operate three Connecticut museumsThe War Office in Lebanon and the two Nathan Hale Schoolhouses, one in East Haddam, the other in New London.
