Product Update: Cambrionix units not affected by the latest Haswell based Apple MacBooks and Desktops

(PRWEB UK) 29 November 2013

For many cart and case manufactures this causes a headache because if the number of USB devices on the computer is limited, the number of products you can sync with it at once is limited. Ergotron units, for example, can only sync 25 or less iPads (as per their Product Bulletin 2013-6E, Rev B) regardless of the capacity of the cart/case. Charging is not affected. Griffin have also announced that the issue will cause problems when using 2 or 3 Griffin MultiDock units.

Thankfully, due to the expertise of the Cambrionix Engineering team, they have developed a workaround for this issue. The workaround is incredibly easy to deploy and means that any products incorporating Cambrionix sync/charge electronics will work just fine, as normal. Simply log onto the Cambrionix website, download the fix, follow the instructions and carry on with the day!

So, if you have a 48 capacity cart with Cambrionix Intelligence inside, it will sync as normal and not be limited to 25 or less units.

Cambrionix – Leaders in Mobile Charging and Connectivity.

About Cambrionix

Cambrionix supplies finished products and electronic components for use in hospitals, schools, homes and businesses that need to manage and control updates, synchronise data and charge USB-connected devices reliably and quickly. Cambrionix technology is incorporated by system integrators into a variety of form factors including carts and charging pods which are sold around the world. The Evolution of Keyboards Explained in Latest Article Released by UltimateTyping.com

New York City, NY (PRWEB) November 19, 2013

The QWERTY style keyboard used today can be traced back to 1873, according to a recent blog post at UltimateTyping.com, the website sponsored by eReflect, developer of the well-reviewed software Ultimate Typing 2013. The post highlights that despite technological advancements, typists continue to use the QWERTY style keyboard even though it was actually originally designed with the intent of slowing the user's typing speed.

As the blog post points out, such a keyboard style may not be ideal for helping typists to type at maximum speed. Recent technological advancements and innovations in this area reflect attempts being made to introduce new keyboard layouts and additional features that will allow typist to type with precision and high speed. During a recent briefing by the eReflect team, a spokesperson highlighted the various initiatives currently being introduced regarding keyboard layout and style.

One such innovation is the launch of SnapKey’s Si Evolution Keyboard. The keyboard takes a contemporary approach; rather than providing a QWERTY style keyboard, it breaks down the alphabet into four groups. As the eReflect team explained, the keyboard “guesses” the words that the typist needs to type and users can switch between numbers and alphabets through a small key displayed on the left corner.

For eReflect, such innovations within the keyboard are a step forward on the path to discovering new alternatives that can allow a typist to type faster. However, the success of such keyboards is often dependent on the ability of the user to adapt to the new style and layout after years of using a QWERTY style keyboard. In addition, the availability of a new keyboard is highly dependent on market forces. The eReflect team stressed that despite the innovations in keyboard design, the conventional QWERTY style will continue to remain popular with computer users as well as computer manufacturers. The team suggests that rather than focusing on innovative design, researchers should concentrate on ways to use the existing layout and still find ways to improve the keyboard so that typing speed is enhanced.

The team concluded that their own latest innovation, Ultimate Typing, uses the QWERTY layout as part of a typing tutor software which can allow individuals to learn to type within two weeks. The team believes that the QWERTY layout is here to stay and therefore typists must learn to type in this configuration with speed and accuracy. The drills and exercises offered by Ultimate Typing can prove to be the ideal method for keyboard training which can allow even a beginning typist to become a typing expert.

Best Selling Author Vince Stanzione Introduces the World to the Latest Business Go-Getters, The New Olderpreneurs

Hoboken, NJ (PRWEB) July 02, 2013

Best selling author, Vince Stanzione, recently introduced his followers to the latest group of business overachievers: the New Olderpreneurs. Stanzione, the author of the New York Times best seller, "The Millionaire Dropout: Fire Your Boss, Do What You Love And Reclaim Your Life" (Wiley; May 2013) has been analyzing those who start their own companies and become their own bosses and in the past it was most common for entrepreneurs to be young go-getters. Most people think of the founders of start-ups as young guys in a basement writing computer code while they eat cold pizza, Stanzione said. They would be wrong; because today it is the over 50s who are powering the next wave of business start-ups.

Stanzione has dubbed these mature business owners New Olderpreneurs and he attributes their rise to several factors. First, the recent economic upheaval has forced many older people to fend for themselves as firms let older workers go in great numbers. These workers had no choice but to use their vast experience to start their own businesses when they were unable to find work in the corporate world. Second, many older workers are simply tired of working for someone else and with modern technology allowing start-ups to launch with relatively small costs, these restless workers feel now is the time to take the plunge. Finally, workers well beyond 50 are entering the game because they have found that retirement savings is not enough to live on or they are simply bored and want to get back into the mix.

Stanzione finds this trend fascinating and has spent a great deal of time analyzing these Olderpreneurs and the types of businesses they are starting. Almost all of the start-ups created by these older workers are founded in their years of experience working in the corporate world. Many start businesses sharing their knowledge with others through seminars and webinars and Stanzione has found that there is a big demand for this type of service as younger workers rush to soak up the knowledge these older workers have.

Many of these older workers spent their careers as problem solvers and the ability to solve problems of all types is in great demand. Busy executives are eager to hand their complex problems to someone who can find the solution. Companies that let older workers offer advice or act as virtual assistants are some of the most common types that older workers focus on. Stanzione has found that older workers are also much more eager to learn new skills than most people give them credit for and that has opened up opportunities in website design, online planning and advice services and even financial traders and investors. In fact Stanzione has seen a dramatic uptick in the number of people over 50 who have signed up for his classes on trading.

Given the emergence of Olderpreneurs, Stanzione has some advice for these go-getters:

Think about what skills to offer the market and look for what people want.
Test a new business in a small way by placing a Google ad word advertisement or classified advertisement if its a local business. That is a cost effective way to get started.
Be market driven not product or service driven look for niche markets and make sure there is a demand. Always remember that people are being asked to part with their money.
Learn to network and call in favors. Use existing contacts and convert them to clients.
Highlight age and experience; they are the New Olderpreneurs best assets. Age and experience may be a hindrance in looking for a job these days, but they are golden when trying to attract clients who want a person with the most expertise.
Concentrate on areas of expertise and outsource the rest. Some are strong at sales but not administrative tasks.
Access teaching tools like Stanziones book "The Millionaire Dropout: Fire Your Boss, Do What You Love, Reclaim Your Life" which offers excellent advice and guidance to those striking out on their own.

Scriptel Corporations Latest Electronic Signature Capture Products Now Available at Computime

Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) May 14, 2013

Scriptel Corporation (Scriptel) today announced a new business relationship with Computime that will make Scriptels industry recognized Electronic Signature Capture products available through Computime.

As a pioneer of eSignature technology, Computime has a very well developed sales and marketing team that are very knowledgeable about eSignature technology as well as its practical applications in the marketplace, said Steve Allyn, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Scriptel Corporation. In the document-centric marketplace, Scriptel is known for combining superior performance with extreme durability. The combination of these products and Computimes sales and global distribution channel will be an important piece to giving consumers a choice in signature capture technology.

Already a substantial resource for eSignature capture products, the addition of Scriptels ST1500U and ST1501U signature pads to Computimes offerings provide the marketplace with best of breed solutions while increasing the companys value in the eSignature products arena.

Computime has known the Scriptel name for many years and with the recent changes to our business model, we felt that Scriptels products would fit many applications our customers are seeking at a price point that makes sense, said Josh Levey, CEO of Computime. From the Computime perspective, the Scriptel eSignature products will create some great synergies with our growing line of eSignature hardware and software solutions.

What separates the ST1500U and ST1501U Electronic Signature Pads is the use of Scriptels Static Capacitive Glass and Active Digital Pen technology, which is deployed in nearly 3 million devices worldwide. The primary sensing layer is coated underneath the glass, enabling it to perform in the midst of scratches and debris.

This technology also maintains a high palm rejection rate, allowing unobstructed signature capture when hands or fingers are in contact with the sensor, a feature uncommon in most capacitive digitizers. Designed to exceed 2 million signatures, the ST1500U and ST1501U electronic signature pads rugged construction resists accidents, including spills and drops, and is tailor made for high traffic deployments.

The ST1500U Electronic Signature Pad comes out of the box supporting Microsoft Word, Excel (2007 and 2010), Adobe Acrobat (8, 9, and X), and Adobe Reader X.

Designed and manufactured with universal integration hardware, the ST1501U Electronic Signature Pad integrates into custom web applications or platforms and includes browser agnostic firmware that allows developers to leverage any major web browser, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera. The signature pad also allows developers to connect to any major computer operating system including Windows, Mac, and Linux without downloading 3rd party drivers or plugins to capture signatures from the device.

Traditionally, the only way to call a signature pad from a web browser was by creating custom Java or ActiveX controls. This not only requires significant development, but also consistent support due to the ever changing landscape of web browsers and operating systems. Scriptels solution addresses both of these issues by utilizing generic drivers inherit to all modern computer operating systems and passes signature data directly to the browser.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 7, 2006

Quantum Art, a leading developer of content management and web publishing software, today announced version 7.2 of its leading content application server QP7.Framework. QP7.2 provides expanded support for all the .NET languages including Visual Basic.NET and C# as well as tools to help developers and users quickly and easily launch and manage dynamic web sites.

Our goal is to help customers transcend traditional content management and realize the value of newer, more flexible methods, said Quantum Art CEO Edward Shenderovich. With QP7.2, were offering our customers the most comprehensive web development platform to expedite the delivery of lightweight content applications, as well as workflow and import tools to help them change and manage their own dynamic web content.

Architecturally, QP7.Framework uses an object-oriented templating model, which provides superior flexibility to most other approaches and facilitates code reuse. The core presentation template and a library of template objects may be created using standard HTML-editing tools or using QP7s online interfaces. Quantum Art continues to support its view that content management solutions must facilitate openness and free information exchange, and just like previous QP7.Framework releases, QP7.2 does not carry any seat license costs.

New QP7.2 features include:

Improved and Expanded .NET Platform Functionality Developers and users now have full support for all the .NET languages including JavaScript and J#. Other tools included Quantum Arts OnScreen, Form Wizard and Object Hierarchy Trace. For example, with OnScreen functionality for .NET-developed websites, users can now visually edit content and easily navigate to article "form view" for editing. With Form Wizard users can automatically create submission forms based on a certain Content Type, and with Object Hierarchy Trace developers can view how object calls are nested in their projects to simplify the development process.

New Content Library and Site Library Fields Allows users to browse images stored in Content Types and the Site Library, to allow for much greater flexibility in document management and project implementations.

Improved Workflow Gives regular users the ability to automatically create notifications during the workflow creation process, without resorting to object coding done by developers.

Redesigned Site Export/Import Features Now users can selectively update existing sites and choose which parts of the site to update. Previously, users could only import/export an entire site but not update their existing site. In addition, this functionality allows the complete separation of development and production environments: users can start work in a development environment then update their work in the production environment using all the same data, code, and files.

Pricing and Availability

Quantum Art sells QP7.2 directly as licensed software and as a hosted service, and sells it through Quantum Arts growing partner network.
