Anzea Textiles Highlights Blue Fall Trends in Upholstery in Fashion Show

St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) October 04, 2013

In Anzea’s newest product introduction, each fabric and vinyl incorporated at least two shades of blue to stay on point with the latest fall decor trend. "Florentine," "Tuscany," and "La Piazza," three new textile designs, are pictured in their blue colors, as well as Hemp Canvas and Sistine. These Anzea textiles are on trend while also delivering high performance. The three fabrics in the new product introduction utilize GreenShield technology, ensuring the textiles are environmentally friendly.

What consumers may not know is the color blue has been used since the beginning of human civilization. In wall paintings from Egypt, Rome, and Mesopotamia there is evidence of its use within fashion and decor. Blue pigmentation creation has evolved over the years. The first blue pigment to be used was derived from azurite, the mineral. Indigo was the next major pigment of blue that has been used. Indigo is responsible for the color of blue denim jeans. The newest pigment of blue was recently discovered at Oklahoma State University using manganese. This pigment and recipe is the closest anyone has come to re-creating the Ancient Egyptian blue. Historically speaking blue is very rare to find in nature, therefore it could only be afforded by the royal or wealthy. This resulted in the historical relationship between wealth and blue, giving us the modern expression of "blue blood." Blue Anzea textiles make the perfect on-trend addition to any room.

Even though the textile industry doesn’t change trends nearly as often as the fashion industry, there are always fashion-conscious ways to encapsulate the latest trends in décor and textiles.

About Anzea:

Anzea was founded in 1990 by creative director Mitzi Mills and business partner Bruce Doeren. Since the company’s inception, Anzea has focused on contract upholstery textiles offering the marketplace the option of leading edge colors, bold designs and high performance. These designs are reflective of Mills graphic design background, love of photography and travel.

The Anzea contract textile collection is a spirited mix of materials from luxurious natural fibers to recycled polyester yarns. Bleach cleanable, solution dyed fabrics and vinyl upholstery form a cohesive high performance bond with the green faux leathers in nylon matrix and polyurethane. To complement Mills designs, Anzea expanded to include the Jhane Barnes collection adding a layer of sophisticated fashion. Barnes joined Ruth Adler Schnee as an inspiring voice in the Anzea design brand. Schnee’s mid-century designs for Anzea are in galleries and museums worldwide. Schnee’s understanding of the whimsy in textile design has influenced the color palette and patterns developed by Anzea and the design team over the last 22 years. Design, marketing and warehouse facilities are located in the Fort Worth, Texas arts district. Visit Anzea at or call at 1-877-862-6932.

The Employment Report for May 2012 — Unemployment Rate Continues to Fall Bringing New Hope to Job Seekers

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) May 10, 2012

MedZilla Reports: April saw the unemployment rate continuing to fall, dipping down to nearly eight percent. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 155,000 jobs were added to the economy; 19,000 of those being positions added in Healthcare alone. (, 5/4/2012) The industry is expected to increase employment opportunities with over 4.2 million jobs before 2020, according to research from the Center for Health Workforce Studies at the University of Albany, State University in New York.

The report concluded that the U.S. will be requiring workers to fill nearly seven and a half million new and existing positions in the next 7 years. (, 4/17/2012) While experts may be conflicted over when the next economic boom may occur, the medical field is already steaming ahead, abounding with its own employment opportunities.

The Employment Situation Summary came back with good news for workers in Healthcare and other professional industry positions in April. Although some lawmakers were concerned that job creation is stalling, not all experts agree.

"There have been some concerns that the economy may be headed for a repeat of last years spring and summer slowdown. While job gains may indeed hit a lull in the coming months, we do not foresee a sudden upsurge in downsizing activity. Even with the increased job cuts in consumer products, retail and transportation, the monthly totals remain well below levels that would signal a reversal in the recovery," said John A. Challenger, chief executive officer of Challenger, Gray & Christmas. (, 5/3/2012)

There have been other indications of the overall job situation picking up momentum. According to recent reports, relocation assistance, hiring bonuses and other incentives are starting to make a comeback for all levels and positions. (, 5/4/2012)

"There are certain indicators you start to see when things are beginning to improve for job seekers. Its been an incredibly competitive market recently. Its nice to be able to show that when the opportunities start presenting themselves, they are quality opportunities that our applicants can be excited about applying for. Its not just a job, its a relationship; and you want both the employer and the employee getting excited about that relationship building process. Thats what we find happening now and its a great sign for economy," says John Burkhardt Managing Director of

In Texas, clinics and hospitals are projecting they will need at least 10,000 Health Information Technology employees between now and 2013. This comes from an Employer Needs Assessment Report and according to the reports executive summary, the number is actually quite conservative. The workers must support the states $ 103.6 billion dollar healthcare industry which has to implement the effective use of electronic medical records in order to comply with impending federal deadlines for EHR implementation. (, 4/6/2012)

These HIT employees are in high demand nationwide for their unique combination of skills in both the medical and technological fields now more than ever. However, Health Information Technology is not the only field which is incorporating information technology skills into the science industry for the medical advancement of public health. Computational Biology or, Bioinformatics, has been a vital program for the Pharmaceutical Industry in furthering research and development for many years now. The need to find scientists skilled in Computational Mathematics with the intuition behind the Biological Sciences is a rare and important find.

According to Russ Altman, a professor of bioengineering, genetics, and medicine and director of the biomedical informatics training program at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California these computational biologists "are being snapped up as soon as they graduate with lucrative salary offers."

Some of Altmans students agree. Joel Dudley is the founder of NuMedii, a Silicon Valley biotech company and a former prot

The Good Fail – Lessons from the Rise and Fall of

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) May 17, 2012

Richard Keith Latman writes in his new book, THE GOOD FAIL, about a phone call he received in 1999; Ive just received notice that the Attorney Generals office has commenced a formal action against you. Bye bye. This phone call would forever change his life.

Founder and then CEO of Microworkz, a technology company that Latman dreamt would provide affordable and educational computers to those less fortunate, Latman and his business were thrown into the center of a formal investigation led by the state of Washingtons Attorney General.

This legal action would ultimately result in fines from Microsoft, the dissolution of Microworkz, a personal bankruptcy, divorce, severe depression and suicidal thoughts.

THE GOOD FAIL: From Microworkz to Latman Interactive (Wiley, May 2012) tells Latmans story and explains why failure is a necessary stepping stone to success.

A good fail is a failure that has a learning value greater than the offset collateral damage. It is a failure that one is unlikely to repeat, but that helps to positively shape the persons managerial style and business acumen. These types of failures are inherent to success and lead to new ideas about customers, innovations, and business plans.

THE GOOD FAIL explains how companies can master this process of risk-taking and stumbling towards success in order to better their business. Latman offers advice for getting good at failure and 19 ways to avoid A GOOD FAIL, such as:

Reliance Foundry Bollards Stand In When Alarms Fall Short

Reliance Foundry Bollards Stand In When Alarms Fall Short

Decorative steel bollard covers help to protect building

Vancouver, Canada (PRWEB) April 8, 2010

Thanks to Reliance Foundry, a local Future Shop, one of Canada's Best Buy subsidiaries, can avoid "smash-and-grab" burglaries. Thieves intent on acquiring electronics in Surrey, British Columbia, recently tried a frontal assault. Despite the certainty of an alarm system, they attempted a smash-and-grab, backing a stolen pickup truck up a flight of stairs and through the store's front doors at 2 a.m. Though they fled as police sirens converged, they came close to success – the truck bed was full of store products.

While it didn't lose inventory, the store suffered over $ 100,000 in damages, and was forced to operate through an unattractive plywood entrance at the height of the winter holiday shopping season while repairs were completed.

Bollards spaced to prevent a vehicle assault quickly emerged as the best solution to prevent similar incidents. Bollards are an attractive and affordable way to prevent vehicles from being rammed into buildings by would-be thieves. Because they must be close to entries (thus highly visible) to be effective, decorative bollard covers enhance architectural interest, avoiding the bunker look that plain steel or cement barriers may create.

The first step in preventing a further occurrence, the installation of concrete-filled steel pipes, achieved the desired prevention, but gave the store entry an unattractive appearance. Future Shop found a solution from Reliance Foundry Co. Ltd., a bollard supplier from the Vancouver area, adding decorative bollard covers that create architectural appeal, thereby transforming the steel pipe eyesore into an asset.

"Security bollards are the simplest, most secure and least expensive way to protect structures from security vehicle penetration threats like break-ins. They are becoming a routine architectural feature in the design of new buildings, and additions to existing structures," said Brad Done, vice president of Reliance Foundry Co. Ltd.

Done said many designs use standard bollards in utility areas, but add decorative metal covers in public entry areas.

“Reliance Foundry's bollard division offers more than 35 styles with durable powder coated options that complement historic to new building styles”, Done said. Five finishes are used most frequently - textured black, dark green, statuary bronze, anodized grey metallic and anodized silver; all are available as standard options, with more color choices available to meet customer’s exact specifications.

"Decorative bollard covers are usually paired with concrete-filled steel anti-ram posts for maximum security and perimeter protection. Bollards also manage traffic by separating pedestrians from vehicles - while allowing easy pedestrian access to a designated property. Chains can be used between bollards to direct people and vehicle flow, without the unattractive and less adaptable use of fencing," Done said.

Adding still more flexibility, retractable or removable bollards are a good choice for areas where occasional maintenance and emergency vehicles need to access the building, Done added.
