Data Protection Solutions Expands D2D EzBackup Offerings

Hollywood, FL (PRWEB) March 5, 2005

Data Protection Solutions, or DPS, the provider of disk mirroring, backup and bare metal restore solutions for the edge of the network, announced today the addition of two Disk 2 Disk (D2D) products to the EzBackup™ product line. The EzBackup product line now includes both 3.5” and 5.25” Bay Mount versions offering end-users and system integrators more integration options. The EzBackup Bay Mount products enable end-users with limited access to the front panel of a system to use either a 3.5” or a 5.25” bay to install an EzBackup controller in either form factor.

Both EzBackup solutions bring the benefits of higher-end, enterprise data backup and recovery capabilities to the edge of the network with full image copies of the hard drive and fast, efficient bare metal restore of that drive. These solutions are offered through the distribution partners of Data Protection Solutions at a suggested retail price of $ 199, considerably less than that of much more expensive tape or CD solutions in the market today.

“The data at the edge of the network has been neglected for years. Either it was too cumbersome to conduct any meaningful backups with the available products or the user simply ignored back ups and kept his or her fingers crossed. With products like EZBackup, and now with these additional models, there is no more excuse for the user not to protect data as it should be protected,” states Arun Taneja of the Taneja Group.

“The use of the EzBackup patented technology ensures that full image backups are executed on the backup drive, virtually guaranteeing a complete restore when one is needed,” states Steve Hammond, SVP of Sales and Marketing at DPS. “DPS has recently completed distribution agreements with both Tech Data and D&H based on the considerable need in the market for EzBackup solutions. With its price point less then half of the traditional backup and restore products on the market today, we are to remove the price decision barrier and are better able to better address the demand for these solutions.”

“Our technology, which is simple to use, yet an extremely sophisticated application, will allow so many additional users at the edge of the networks to finely properly protect their data and have complete confidence in restoring their critical data,” states Lawrence F Steffann, President/ CEO of DPS.

About DPS’ Technology

The company's DupliDisk™ and EzBackup™ product lines eliminate the costs of data loss by preventing its occurrence. A fully bootable image copy ensures that the system can be restored in a matter of seconds, versus hours. DPS’ family of products also removes the backup load from the host CPU, requiring no drivers, IRQs or TSRs. Furthermore, data security is greatly enhanced through the application of the company's patent-pending Hidden Device Technology (HDT). HDT’s unique capability renders the backup drive invisible to the system and also to the user, requiring no customer intervention or scheduled commands. As stated by Steffann, “we are providing our customers with an easy-to-use, enterprise-class solution at minimal cost, whether they’re SOHO, SMB or enterprise-level customers.”

About Data Protection Solutions

Headquartered in South Florida, Arco Data Protection Solutions ( was founded in 1989. Its disk mirroring RAID controller and EzBackupTM disk-to-disk (D2D) product lines, powered by the company’s patented DupliDisk technology, are designed to preserve the value of personal and corporate data. Data values are growing exponentially, and the high failure rate of tape-based backups and restores is a more serious threat to these values than ever. D2D backup provides cost-effective backup and storage up to terabyte capacity. It is now recognized as the “fail-safe” solution to data protection for enterprise, SMB and SOHO applications. The company serves both direct and OEM markets through distributors and resellers in the United States, Europe and the Far East.

Illinois Expands Simplifile E-Recording in Coles County

COLES COUNTY, Ill. (PRWEB) December 17, 2013

Simplifile, the nation’s largest electronic recording (e-recording) service provider, announced today that recording customers may now e-record documents through Simplifile in Coles County, Ill.

Customers range from title companies, banks, attorneys, and lien filers to government agencies throughout the state and even some national submitters who traditionally send land documents to the Coles County recorder’s office by mail or courier service.

“Instead of driving to the courthouse or using the mail, customers can submit their documents directly from their computer, saving time and money on postage or fuel,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “The time-saving factor is probably the biggest reason thousands of people have switched to e-recording, as documents can be recorded in minutes with Simplifile, as opposed to waiting several days or even weeks for the mail.”

With Simplifile’s online service, documents can be scanned, uploaded, and prepared for submission to the recorder’s office. These “electronic versions” of the original, paper documents are received in real-time by the county, reviewed, stamped, recorded and returned to the submitter.

Recording fees are also paid electronically via Automated Clearing House (ACH), eliminating the need for checks and reducing the occurrence of check fraud.

“E-Recording is more secure and definitely more convenient for both the county and its customers,” Clifford said.

Coles County is the 16th Illinois county to begin e-recording with Simplifile.

Locality Expands Nationally to Deliver Comprehensive Local Services Information to Millions of Consumers in 10,000+ Cities

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 21, 2013

Locality (formerly Centzy), provider of the most useful, comprehensive search experience for local services, today announced its expansion into more than 10,000 U.S. cities. The company connects millions of consumers with the right local merchants for their needs. Whether it’s finding a stylist who can give great highlights before a big date or identifying the best spa nearby within a consumer’s budget, over 1.5 million people use Locality one or more times each month. Unlike other local search services that provide basic business listings and user reviews, Locality specializes in data that comes directly from merchants, such as their menu of services, pricing, and business hours, generating the most complete results available online covering 60 services in 15 categories.

As Locality continues to aggressively broaden its reach, the company announced that it has raised $ 4.3 million in Series A funding. Matrix Partners led the round and general partner Jared Fliesler has joined the company’s board of directors. Locality will use the funds to build out its platform in an ambitious effort to cover every service at every local business nationwide and develop new ways for consumers to easily connect to local merchants.

Locality's vision is to build the most comprehensive marketplace for consumers to find, compare, and select local services. With Locality, local merchants are "always open" to answer the most commonly asked questions about their businesses. Locality aims to help merchants extend their reach and build a larger audience of high-intention consumers. Over time, Locality will make it even easier to search and discover new products and services, connecting potential customers with merchants and closing the loop on their purchases.

No One Covers Local Like Locality

Locality takes a radically different approach to local search. It is the only platform to provide a deep and normalized look at entire service categories within a searchable metro. 90% of Locality’s pricing, available services, and hours data is not available anywhere else online. For example, in a recent random sampling of 700 nail salons across the nation, Locality provided operating hours data for twice the number of nail salons as Google.

Locality’s proprietary data collection system ensures that all merchants within a defined area are included in searches and that all listings remain current. The company provides actionable information to millions of potential customers with strong purchase intent -- people searching for specific services as part of their daily lives. For example, it’s 7pm and Bob is just finishing his workday. His regular cleaners closed at 5pm, but he really needs to find a next-day wash and fold. Bob can easily search on Locality for a quality, affordable dry cleaner nearby that offers this specific service and is still open. Locality gives consumers the best insight into all of their options.

“Locality does for local services what Kayak does for air travel. We show consumers every service that's available around them in a way that makes it easy to find the right one for them,” said Jay Shek, co-founder and CEO of Locality. “Whether it’s finding the best yoga class in a new city or searching for a spontaneous mani-pedi near the office, Locality connects consumers to services for everyday life, giving them the power to find services wherever they are, whenever they need information.”

Act Locally, Grow Organically

Locality’s user base is growing rapidly and organically as consumers discover its value. Since its public launch last year, Locality traffic has grown over 10x as consumers use it in big cities and small towns all over the U.S. In fact, 75% of Locality’s traffic comes from outside the nation’s top 10 cities.

“Locality changes expectations of what local search can provide,” said Mr. Fliesler, Matrix general partner and former Square, Google and Slide executive. “Despite the number of companies competing in the local market, no one can do what Locality does and offer consumers this level of detail in local search. The unique and extensible data collection system that the team built allows Locality to scale and enter new markets at an unprecedented rate, and I can't wait to help Jay and his team design incredible product offerings on that platform."

“We are fortunate to receive such strong support from Matrix as a firm and from Jared in particular. Jared has great insight into how to build and market successful products in the local space from his time at Square,” added Mr. Shek. “His outstanding, relevant experience makes him the perfect fit to help us turn Locality into the ultimate local marketplace for consumers and merchants.”

To help accelerate growth, Locality is moving its headquarters to San Francisco. The company will maintain a satellite office in New York.
