Sanata-Tech from St. Petersburg, Russia Joins Smart Tweezers Sales Force in Eastern Europe

Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) October 29, 2013

Canadian Siborg Systems Inc. and Sanata-Tech From St. Petersburg, Russia have agreed to join their efforts in marketing devices of Smart Tweezers LCR-meter family including the latest budget model LCR-Reader in quickly expanding Customs Union countries including Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Currently the Customs Union is expanding beyond the former Soviet Union countries, participation of India, Turkey and Siria are being considered. At a summit on October 29, 2013 held in Minsk, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan confirmed their intention to form the Eurasian Economic Union in 2015, on the basis of the Customs Union. Subsequently, Turkey, India, and even Syria could join this new alliance, according to the leaders.

Sanata-Tech is a supplier in Eastern Europe specializing in supplying soldering equipment (Hakko), electrical test equipment and workplace furniture and hand tools (Viking).

"Major portion of our clients are electronic companies dealing with Printed Circuit Boards (PCB)," says Natalia Petrova, CEO at Sanata-Tech, "Any person using soldering equipment finds Smart Tweezers LCR-meter very efficient in testing and characterization of Surface-Mount Devices and it is an indispensable tool for PCB debugging and repair."

LCR-Reader, a successor of Smart Tweezers LCR-meter ST-5, are designed for measuring SMD components as small as 0201 form-factor or about 0.3 mm size. This type of devices allow to measure in addition to the capacitance, equivalent series resistance (ESR) or dissipation factor D, in addition to inductance, resistance or Q. ST-5 LCR-meter can also be used for a continuity and diode test.

Now you have a choice of buying the original Smart Tweezers or LCR-Reader, a new budget model of a tweezer type LCR-meter. A summary of LCR-Reader and Smart Tweezers comparison of feature is avalaible in this Table. In a nut shell, the main difference is price, size and accuracy. Smart Tweezers ST-5 is a certified LCR-meter for professionals with a basic accuracy of 0.2%, supplied with a NIST Traceable Calibration Certificate. On the other hand, LCR-Reader outperforming previous models of Smart Tweezers ST-1 to ST-3. With a basic accuracy of 1%, price under $ 200 and weight of 1 Oz it is positioned as a consumer's choice LCR-Meter. It only uses 0.5 Vrms test signal thus limiting its application for ceramic capacitors. It is well known that test signal lower then 1 Vrms results in a underestimated capacitance values for ceramic capacitors, (e.g. see ST-2 User's Manual on p. 16).

The new model, LCR-Reader, is about two times lighter than previous Smart Tweezers models, and is powered by rechargeable Li-Ion battery. Its basic accuracy is about 1% which exceeds specs for models ST-1, ST-2 and ST-3. It has a simplified control by just one button that turns the device on and changes the operation mode.

The following features are abandoned compared to ST-5: component sorting, automatic offset correction, diode and continuity test. The most important drawback of LCR-Reader is the level of test signal which is 0.5 V rms that does not allow to use it for ceramic capacitors, similarly to ST-1, ST-2 and ST-3 it gives a lower capacitance value.

You may also watch a brief demonstration of LCR-Reader on Youtube.

A detailed comparison of features of the LCR-Reader and previous models is presented in this Smart Tweezers Comparison Table.

Feature Summary:

Manual and automatic measurement of L-C-R and ESR
Accuracy of about 1%
Automatic best range
Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery
Low weight of 1 oz (28 gramms)

Cloud Expo Europe moves to ExCeL London to meet 45% growth in demand

London, UK (PRWEB UK) 16 August 2013

Huge surge in demand from some of the worlds biggest technology companies has led to the UKs Best Trade Show*, Cloud Expo Europe, moving to ExCeL for its 2014 event in February.

Following the success of the 2013 show at Olympia, which attracted more than 6,850 attendees, AWS, Dell, NTT and Outsourcery have already joined the growing list of exhibitors for the 2014 event, which will take place later than usual on the 26th and 27th February.

The expansion to ExCeL provides room for new additions to the Expo, including a Software Defined Networking programme, dedicated Big Data content and a new dedicated programme for developers all designed to attract more decision-makers from enterprises, service providers and the cloud ecosystem.

An impressive range of speakers, headed up by Netflix CTO Adrian Cockroft, will also have the crowds flocking to the event. Confirmed panel speakers include Chris Kemp, CEO of Nebula and former CTO at NASA, Daniel Leabeau, Group CIO at GlaxoSmithKline, as well as cloud computing experts from eBay, PayPal, Vodafone, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Philips and Citibank.

Thomas Standley, Cloud Expo Europe Show Director, said: The move to ExCeL is a really strong and positive move to build on the rapidly growing success of Cloud Expo Europe. Vitally, it means we now have as much room to grow as we need, all on one level and with our Keynote and other content hubs located right at the heart of the show, driving traffic to exhibitors' stands.

To accommodate the move we have also moved the event to the end of February. This will be welcomed by many, as show preparations have previously been disrupted by Christmas and it also allows us to run an even more effective campaign in the two months prior to the event.

The move has also been welcomed by exhibitors, including Omer Wilson, Marketing Director EMEA at Digital Realty, who said: We have seen Cloud Expo Europe grow exponentially over the last couple of years and are excited to follow the show to ExCeL as it prepares to grow its visitor and exhibitor numbers even further as Europes leading technology event.

CloserStill has also announced that the event will take place alongside Data Centre World, the largest data centre event in Western Europe. Data Centre World, which was recently acquired by CloserStill, made the move to ExCeL earlier this year and attracted a record-breaking attendance, up 19 per cent on the previous year, and its biggest ever exhibitor line-up.

Phil Nelson, Director of CloserStill, said: The combination of Cloud Expo Europe and Data Centre World is a compelling prospect. Both events will retain their separate identities, entrances, content and audiences but the two events together, with over 300 exhibitors and more than 10,000 visitors, will instantly be the biggest IT and technology gathering in the UK.

Jonathan Brown, Marketing Director of leading Cloud Expo Europe exhibitor Interoute, also endorsed the co-location with DCW: Relocating Cloud Expo Europe to the ExCeL Centre is a smart move, positioning the event in a world class venue. Running the show alongside Data Centre World should attract many more delegates to the event, boosting the conversations and interactions that have made this such a successful show for us in the past.

*On 21st June Cloud Expo Europe won the exhibition industry's Blue Riband award, the Association of Exhibition Organisers' Best Trade Show accolade for an unprecedented second successive year

ResellersPanel Goes Dedicated and Expands its Presence in Europe

London, UK (PRWEB) November 7, 2007

ResellersPanel, the emblem of free reseller hosting, announces the launch of its new line of dedicated, semi-dedicated and virtual private servers. A dedicated hosting service means that the client rents an entire server not shared with anyone else, which is typically located in a data center. Besides choosing one of ResellersPanel's five predefined dedicated server packages offering top-notch hardware and the latest cutting-edge processors from Intel and AMD, the more advanced users can also build their own server configuration up from scratch. They are provided with complete root access and thus will be able to install and configure any additional software, and also to reboot the server at any time. Those who do not possess the skills necessary to maintain a dedicated server can consider one of ResellersPanel's Managed Services packages and free themselves of any administration responsibilities.

ResellersPanel has launched three virtual private server packages offering 200, 400 and 800 GB monthly traffic, respectively, as well. A virtual private server implies the division of a physical server into smaller virtual ones, which work as if they were dedicated servers and run their own full-fledged operating systems. The users can choose between Cent OS, Fedora Core 4 and Debian OSs, and between Plesk and cPanel web hosting control panel types. They can reboot their machines independently with the help of the Virtuozzo Power Console, a software-based virtualization environment, and install almost any software that runs on the chosen OS. The semi-dedicated servers, on the other hand, will be accommodating no more than 5-6 accounts each, so that every user will be able to use up to 20% of the CPU resources, perform up to 90 000 MySQL queries per hour and host unlimited domains and e-mail addresses.

In addition, ResellersPanel has started offering hosting services that use servers located in the BlueSquare data center in Maidenhead, England - a move the company has made to the benefit of its European clients. The rest of the servers are housed in Peer1's data center in Fremont, California.

ResellersPanel's CEO Kalin Blaskoff said that ResellersPanel dedicates the dedicated servers to its dedicated clients, that the company has deployed servers located in the United Kingdom because of the growing demand from its resellers, 25% of whom prefer to be hosted on European-based servers because of their geographical location, and that compared to the American hosting market, the European one is twice as big in terms of population.

Nick Blaskov, CFO of ResellersPanel, said that the semi-dedicated hosting solution is for those who find the resources offered by a shared hosting account inconsistent with their growing online requirements, that the virtual private servers combine the affordability of a shared account with the power and independence offered by a dedicated server, and that the dedicated server solution lets the users host their websites on their own independent server and thus say good-bye to any speed, stability and bandwidth-related troubles encountered with the other types of hosting.

Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe offers the smallest microcontroller in the world with a full CAN interface

Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe offers the smallest microcontroller in the world with a full CAN interface

(PRWEB) October 27, 2001

London, October 25 2001 – Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe has developed the MB90F387, a powerful Flash CAN microcontroller, housed in a minute 48-pin enclosure with plastic encapsulation measuring only 7 mm square. The device is believed to be the smallest microcontroller in the world with a full CAN interface.

Adopting the peripheral blocks and the CPU of the 64-pin 16-bit 64KB MB90F497G microcontroller, which is already in worldwide use, Fujitsu implemented a die shrink, which enabled the same number of gates to be integrated within the smaller housing at reduced cost.

Contrary to the normally cost-driven practice of applying new manufacturing technology to the largest and most complex chips first, Fujitsu opted to develop devices at the low end of the company’s 16LX series 16-bit microcontroller range at the same time as high-end devices. These important low-end microcontrollers offer powerful yet inexpensive options.

From this new device, right up to the upper end of the family, currently represented by a chip integrating 384KB of Flash memory and 10KB of RAM in a 120-pin package, the Fujitsu 16LX series covers a unique spectrum, with as many as 12 devices featuring full CAN interface and embedded Flash in addition to a large number of mask ROM variants.

All family members of 16LX microprocessors feature 16-bit architecture, combining 2MB of address space with high code efficiency, thereby saving memory costs. The CPU incorporates on-chip PLL, a 4 byte instruction queue and multiplication and division instructions. Around the CPU are a 10-bit analogue-to-digital converter, a Flash macro with integrated charge pump for rewriting the memory without auxiliary voltage and a CAN module. The CAN 2.0A and 2.0B compliant module is available with 8 or 16 buffers, which can be programmed individually for receiving or sending data.

Identifiers with a length of 11 or 29 bits can be selected in a variety of ways: comparison of all identifier bits, complete mask comparison or comparison with one or two mask registers.

In addition, the MB90F387 is equipped with a UART, various timers, an input capture unit and a programmable pulse width modulation generator. An interrupt line is linked internally with the CAN module to allow easy awakening of the microcontroller via CAN. Four additional interrupts are available externally and a 32 kHz sub-clock can be used to generate a time base and expand the power management options.

First samples of the new Flash CAN chip are anticipated to be available in December 2001. A mask ROM variant is planned for the second half of 2002.

This microcontroller will be the lowest-priced in the 16LX range and is probably the lowest-priced of all 16-bit microcontrollers with CAN currently available.
