Bluenose Analytics Secures $10M to Help Businesses Reduce Customer Churn & Drive Revenue

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 11, 2013

Bluenose Analytics today announced it has secured $ 10 million in venture funding from The Social+Capital Partnership and Norwest Venture Partners (NVP). The funding includes a two million dollar seed investment led by The Social+Capital Partnership and an eight million dollar Series A led by NVP.

With a successful beta launch earlier this year, Bluenose will leverage the investment to continue expanding the capabilities of its platform, including deepening its predictive analytics. Bluenose is also deepening its executive team with thought leaders to drive content focused on customer retention best practices.

“For companies with recurring revenue models, customer churn is the number one threat to success and sustainability,” said Jeffrey M. Kaplan, managing director of THINKstrategies, Inc. and founder of the Cloud Computing Showplace. “Businesses need a powerful analytics platform to make the most of the growing amount of data they can collect about their customer base and turn it into additional revenue-generating outcomes.”

Built from the ground up by software-as-a-service experts, the Bluenose Analytics platform helps companies identify customer issues early, including the drivers of churn. By combining business intelligence and automated customer engagement, Bluenose pinpoints at-risk customers and opportunities to up-sell at every stage in the lifecycle.

“We invested in Bluenose early on – when it was Don, Todd, and a value proposition that resonated with us,” said Mamoon Hamid, general partner at The Social+Capital Partnership. “One of the biggest challenges that businesses face is identifying at-risk customers who are likely to churn versus happy customers who are likely to buy more. Bluenose is addressing this opportunity by providing actionable insights to businesses so they can further delight their customers with the right products and features.”

“With an impressive team and deep analytics expertise, Bluenose is the company to help businesses finally realize the power of big data for improving and retaining customer relationships,” said Matthew Howard, managing partner, NVP. "This investment reinforces our continued focus on cloud-based technologies that drive better business practices and more opportunities for growth.”

“Bluenose is in a very unique position, thanks to the support of two of the most successful and forward-thinking SaaS investors in the industry,” said Don MacLennan, founder and CEO of Bluenose Analytics. “NVP and Social+Capital have a record of working with innovators who have changed an industry landscape - which is exactly what Bluenose intends to do for customer analytics.”

With this investment, Mamoon Hamid and Matthew Howard have joined the Bluenose Analytics board of directors.

ePrint123 floors Unilever with Custom 3D USB Drive

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 19, 2013

With over 400 brands under its belt, Unilever is an industry juggernaut. Needing custom USB drives, they naturally looked to ePrint123 for their expertise and guidance in the field. The request was to create custom USB drives featuring the Hellmann’s brand to commemorate their 100th anniversary. ePrint123 came up with a realistic miniature of a Hellmann’s mayonnaise jar containing the USB drive within. From the iconic logo to the blue and yellow label colors, ePrint123’s meticulous attention to detail made for a truly show-stopping finished product. Not only did ePrint123 produce an exemplary product, they were also able to complete the 3D modeling and digital rendering in two days, completing the entire project in three weeks, ahead of the schedule and within budget. Venetia J., ePrint123’s client at Unilever said, “OMG I was floored and so was Mary L. our Supply Leader.”

It’s small, portable, and universally compatible with all desktop, laptop, tablet computers, and any device with a USB interface.

The Custom 3D USB Drive offers something few other products can rival – it impresses the most demanding client, and is guaranteed to put a smile on their face. It’s made as a 3-dimensional product miniature, whether it’s a truck, a robot, or even that jar of mayonnaise, complete with the shape, color, and even the texture, of the original product. The USB chip and connector are cleverly hidden inside the product, and in most cases, are designed to encourage user interaction.

While the process of making a proper 3D model and a custom mold is normally expensive, ePrint123’s unique workflow gets the design process down to a science, ensuring reliable output and lower costs. Priced at just $ 16.99 each with a minimum order quantity of 100 units, everything from 3D modeling, tooling, and production is included. The drive can be made with a wide variety of materials to closely reassemble the original product. The most popular material is PVC, but can also be made of ABS plastic, wood, bamboo, metal, etc.

IT Businesses Drive Demand for Business Insurance, More Than 35 Percent Growth for TechInsurance

IT Businesses Drive Demand for Business Insurance, More Than 35 Percent Growth for TechInsurance

Dallas, Texas (Vocus) July 1, 2010

The first quarter of 2010 was the most successful quarter on record for TechInsurance, the nation’s top insurance provider for information technology businesses, indicating that the economic turnaround is strengthening for IT service providers. TechInsurance was founded in 1997 to provide affordable business insurance coverage for the burgeoning technology industry.

“We were pleased when January proved to be the best month in company history, but by April we were stunned to see the trend for month-over-month record growth continue,” says Jim Cochran, president and founder of TechInsurance. “What this tells us is that small IT businesses are going back to work at a very rapid pace, and are seeking the insurance they need to fulfill contractual requirements or protect themselves as new businesses. We view small technology business growth as an early leading indicator for a recovery as corporations begin to spend on IT projects again.”

TechInsurance has insured more than 2,000 new businesses in the first quarter, compared with 1,476 during the same time period in 2009. That’s an increase of more than 35 percent. Many of these new TechInsurance customers are startup businesses. The overall growth trend in new IT insurance policies began in August 2009, with increasing sales every month compared to the same period the prior year.

“Many of the people who were laid off during the recession have decided to start their own IT services businesses,” Cochran notes. “As startups, they can find it difficult and confusing to get the insurance they need, such as professional liability and general liability insurance, to protect their business investment and secure client contracts. Since we specialize in insurance for IT small businesses, and we have lots of experience in working with startups, we can very efficiently get them coverage at an affordable price.”

Another notable trend is strong growth in sales of workers’ compensation policies, which indicates that TechInsurance's technology customers are hiring and need coverage for their employees.

About TechInsurance

TechInsurance is a web-based e-agent that offers IT businesses and professionals fast, easy, one-stop shopping for all their business property insurance and liability needs. TechInsurance was founded in 1997 in response to the difficulty IT services firms had finding high-quality, affordable business insurance. With more than 12,000 businesses insured, the company has grown to become America's leading online provider of business and professional insurance for computer consulting, web services companies and other IT service businesses.
