Explorys Selected as a Top Workplace

(PRWEB) June 19, 2012

Explorys announced today that it was nominated and selected as a 2012 Top Workplace by its employees. The Cleveland Plain Dealer Top Workplaces program recognizes companies that provide engaging, rewarding, and exciting work environments. This year, 237 companies participated in the program, with only 100 selected for the Top Workplaces award.

Explorys was founded in 2009 to addresses the national imperative to leverage BIG DATA in healthcare for the improvement of medicine and delivery of care, doubling its workforce each year since its inception. BIG DATA is described as high velocity, diverse in structure, dispersed, and voluminous — data that would take too much time and money to load into traditional IT systems and data warehouses for analysis.

Explorys healthcare customers include some of the most prominent healthcare systems in the United States, together accounting for over $ 28 billion in care. With over 44 billion data elements, spanning 14 million patients, 100 hospitals, and thousands of venues of care, Explorys has grown into a major leader in healthcare information technology.

Explorys offers a wide range of benefits to its team members such as company sponsored fitness programs and an innovative program called Ten Time that encourages associates to apply up to 10 percent of their time to other ideas outside of what people normally work on.

With over 60 employees today, it plans to grow to nearly 100 employees by the end of 2012. We set forth on a bold mission to help transform healthcare through BIG DATA, stated Explorys President and Cofounder, Charlie Lougheed. Attracting and developing top talent means staying true to our core values and providing a growth-oriented work environment. That meant we had to raise the bar and provide an experience better than Silicon Valley technology companies here in the Midwest.
