DALLAS, Texas (PRWEB) May 2, 2003 – Wingslingers, the Houston Wingstop advertising co-operative, today announced that it has retained SSA Graphics as its advertising agency.

SSA Graphics is a San Antonio-based firm founded in 1989 by Troy Brand. Brand says the firm is a full-service agency that specializes in the retail segment.

“I can’t be more pleased to add Wingstop to our client list,” said Brand, SSA Graphics president. “We have done a tremendous amount of work in the restaurant industry, and Wingstop is a top notch concept with an outstanding operating system. The Houston market has 14 restaurants with several under various stages of development.”

Carol Porter, president of Wingslingers and owner of the Kirkwood Wingstop, said that the firm’s strong restaurant background, radio and television production experience, and creative design work were strong deciding factors for Wingstop.

“Troy and his firm bring 19 years experience providing local store marketing programs for retail businesses,” said Porter. “He brings a whole new dimension to the table for our Houston group.”

Besides creative services and media buying, Brand and his company will provide long range planning and a full range of media to the Wingstop marketing mix in Houston, according to Porter.

The Wingstop chain offers restaurants with a nostalgic, aviation-themed atmosphere where the sole focus is on chicken wings. Wingstop features eight proprietary wing flavors, including Original Hot, Cajun, Atomic, Mild, Teriyaki, Lemon Pepper, Hawaiian Barbeque and Garlic Parmesan. The wings are always made-to-order and served steaming-hot. Customers also choose from a variety of 28 domestic and imported beers, wine coolers, soft drinks and homemade side dishes: fresh-cut seasoned fries, bourbon baked beans, pearl potato salad, vegetable sticks, rolls and assorted dipping sauces.

Wingstop currently has 106 restaurants in operation with over 160 under development in 22 states. Entrepreneur magazine ranked Wingstop as number one in the chicken wing category and number five in the ‘Top 25 New Franchises’ ranking in 2003. For more information on Wingstop, visit
