Hatteras Press Wins Coveted Technical Excellence/LEO Award From the Association of Graphic Communications
Tinton Falls, NJ (PRWEB) May 13, 2006 -–
Hatteras Press, Inc., a leading integrated graphic communications company based in the New York/New Jersey area, was recently honored with a Technical Excellence Award by the Association of Graphic Communications (AGC) for the company’s outstanding production of its corporate marketing kit. The award will be presented at the 64th Annual Graphic Arts Award Exhibition, taking place at the Xerox Knowledge Sharing Center in New York City on May 11, 2006.
Entitled “True to Form,” Hatteras Press’s winning submission is their own corporate marketing kit displaying extensive in-house capabilities – high end printing & finishing, digital/variable imaging, direct mail, customized fulfillment programs, and warehousing options with a focus on personalized customer service.
“We strive for excellence in everything that we do,” explained Richard McKenna, Hatteras Press sales director. I think our corporate marketing kit reflects our philosophy – it is a great example of the type of work we do. We work with our customer very closely to produce, often award-winning, printed communication materials that we want our clients to be proud of.”
All entries were judged on the basis of production quality and effective utilization of the media, paper, type, color, binding, and other elements. Design and function were also taken into account. Entries were requested to be in top condition – the top of the run. Designers, manufacturers, ad agencies, design firms, prepress services, printers, public relations and marketing firms, corporate communication firms, and all others involved in the graphic arts process were eligible to submit entries.
In addition to the Technical Excellence Award, Hatteras’ corporate marketing kit also received the highest honor by being selected as one of three finalists from over 500 entries to win a LEO Award – named after Leo Joachim, founder of Printing News.
Hatteras’ corporate marketing kit also received additional accolades with an honorable mention from the Pantone Color Excellence Award for outstanding achievement in the use of color in traditional print production and the use of the PANTONE® Hexachrome® printing process.
“This is a significant tribute to our production staff and our creative agency, who worked together to produce this award-winning entry,” stated McKenna.
