MyCuredComputer.com Takes Aim At School Funding Cuts

Moreno Valley, CA (PRWEB) August 2, 2010

With education systems nationwide facing unprecedented budget cuts that have resulted in facility closures, furloughs and shortened school weeks, computer repair firm MyCuredComputer.com has announced a unique program that helps its clients stand up for the futures of America’s youth.

Through its My Cured School initiative, MyCuredComputer.com — which provides repair, technical support and virus protection to its clients through an authoritative staff of computer experts — will donate 10 percent of every purchase to any school of its customers’ choosing. That donation equates to $ 15 on a purchase of MyCuredComputer.com’s one-year unlimited repair service, with clients getting the unique ability to designate the recipient from a growing list of more than 100,000 schools and support programs.

“The government is doing the best it can, and the cuts are not so much to the point where we cannot teach the kids, but it is taking away from the quality of their learning experience as well as environment,” said Kendrek Moultry, founder and CEO of MyCuredComputer LLC. “The scope of the problem may seem overwhelming, but we can make an impact if we work together. And that is what My Cured School aims to accomplish: It gives our clients an opportunity to help us make a difference in their communities."

The issue of school budget cuts has struck close to MyCuredComputer.com’s home community: The Moreno Valley, Calif., company has watched the state slash school budgets by $ 17 billion over the last two years. But Moultry recognizes that his company’s clients from around the nation face a similar crisis, whether they live in Detroit (44 school closures), New Jersey (7.4 percent reduction in school aid) or Georgia (proposed 35 percent college tuition increase).

Those cuts affect a wide range of programs and can limit children’s educational outlets, including athletic teams, academic clubs, after-school activities and support materials. Because each school’s needs are unique, the My Cured School program will offer customers the option of selecting either a general donation to their choice of school, or to a specific program. This allows each client to decide the most effective means for aiding their communities. Directors of academic and athletic support programs can request to be added to MyCuredComputer.com’s database by contacting the company.

Moultry hopes My Cured School can lend a helping hand by giving its clients an outlet to directly aid their local communities.

“We intend to make a difference for everyone, and this is why we are taking 10 percent of every purchase and giving it back,” Moultry said. “We are providing a computer repair service that everyone needs, and we are choosing to give our profits back to the local communities and back into the future of America.”
