Albany State University Announces Football Camp and Coaches Clinic

Albany State University in Albany, Georgia, announces it's 2nd annual Coach Mike White Football camp on June 10, 11, 12. The camp will be open to players of all ages, the camp will feature a Rookie CampP for ages 8 - 12 and a Veteran Camp for ages 13-18.

The Rookie camp teaches the basic fundamentals of the game. Skills such as passing, catching, running, kicking, blocking tackling will be introduced to each camper. More extensive work will take place in the offensive and defensive positions of the camper's choice. These skills will be perfected through the use of drills and game situations.

The Veteran Camp will have three parts: the skill camp, lineman camp and kicking camp. The skill camp, lineman camp and kicking camp will have the same schedule. The instructors will consist of Head Coach Mike White and the staff at Albany State, as well as professional, athletes and coaches. Each individual will receive expert instruction in football fundamentals.

Mike White and his staff at Albany State will lead the instruction at the camp along with well renowned coaches on all levels of the game.

Announced also was the Alltell Football Coaches Clinic to be held June 25-26, 2004. This clinic will focus on the overall development of the football player and will feature sessions on fundamentals, techniques and drills and a session on Developing a Winning Attitude by Dr. Joshua Murfree from Albany State University.

Coaches from all over the United States will participate. Noted presented include Willie Slater, offensive coordinator at Jacksonville State University; Terry Jones, defensive line coach at Florida A&M University; Ken Rucker, running backs coach at the University of Georgia; Wayne Nunnely, defensive line coach with the San Diego Chargers. Coaches from anywhere are welcome and more invited to attend.
