TechSherpas Names New Executive Vice President Eric Steinman, Former Microsoft Consulting Services Managing Consultant, Joins TechSherpas

Tampa, Florida/USA (PRWEB) October 5, 2005

TechSherpas, the premier technical services and education company, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, announced today that Eric Steinman has joined the company as Executive Vice President. In this role, Steinman will be tasked with building TechSherpas's consulting practice, as well as streamlining the existing education business, while managing the ongoing operations.

Steinman stated, “TechSherpas will now enjoy a more closely aligned internal organization. This will enable a fully integrated approach to delivering Microsoft Enterprise Consulting Services combined with real-world knowledge transfer to our clients. TechSherpas will be capable of providing IT consulting services, certified education and customized mentoring solutions in a clear and consistent manner throughout the southeast region and across the U.S. like never before.”

As Executive Vice President, Steinman has set high standards for TechSherpas. With IT being one of the largest components of capital expenditure and the backbone of many organizations, Steinman believes it is imperative that the focus of IT resources and investment be on generating value. “More often than not clients are looking for more than just a standalone implementation or an isolated IT service,” said Steinman. “TechSherpas can address the growing enterprise demand as a full-service, integrated IT consulting partner, with the resources and expertise to deliver high quality, cost-effective technical solutions that satisfy our client's business objectives while maximizing the bottom line.”

“As a leading Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in Education, our process for providing IT consulting services in concert with technical learning is strategic to TechSherpas' vision for the future,” said Steinman. “We will significantly increase our investment in the consultancy element of TechSherpas's marketing mix. Our consulting-led, solution selling sales approach to professional services, certified education and customized mentoring will become an integral part of our go-to-market strategy creating a complete service offering. Our end-to-end approach to services will enhance our ability to link TechSherpas' value-added activities to our client's long term business goals and technical objectives.”

“From my experience, technology alone does not provide a solution. It is only through an effective partnership combined with proper planning, skillful implementation, education and continual process review that organizational benefit is delivered and value obtained for our clients,” said Steinman.

“It is our intent to grow TechSherpas into a major services and training organization within our geography,” said Margaret Iuculano, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board for TechSherpas. “Eric's leadership skills, business development and operational experience combined with his technical background will be a welcomed asset to our organization. We are very excited to have him on our team.”

Steinman comes to TechSherpas as a nine and a half year veteran of Microsoft Corporation. His tenure at Microsoft includes more than seven years in Microsoft Consulting Services serving in technical architecture roles as well as having responsibility in Engagement Management and Business Development. At the outset Steinman was hired by Microsoft in 1996 to build an Enterprise Consulting Services organization in South Florida that quickly grew to a 4.2 million dollar business. For the last two and a half years, Steinman's responsibilities included managing the Microsoft post deployment support engagements for some of the largest companies in Florida. Prior to joining Microsoft Steinman was a Manager for KPMG Peat Marwick as a lead engineer and engagement manager for their Southeastern U.S. Network Engineering Group.
