Recipients of SolidScholarship chosen for SolidWorks Summer School

Menomonee Falls, WI (PRWEB) June 24, 2004

raphics Systems Corporation (GXSC) congratulates Ryan Brickl of Sauk Prairie High School and Nick Webster of Hartford Union High School, the two SolidScholarship recipients who will be able to attend the SolidWorks Summer School class free of charge. Brickl was nominated by Guidance Director James Brickner and Webster was nominated by Tech Ed Teacher Warren C. Krueger. The SolidScholarships were awarded based upon grade point average and letters of recommendation by the teachers.

“It was a tough decision to make,” declares John Setzer, Applications Engineer & Wisconsin State Certified Teacher who is the class instructor. “We received many excellent applications. Thank you to all the teachers for sending in nomination forms. Although we couldn’t choose every nominee, we hope that students will still take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn about CAD and explore career options available for those who use SolidWorks.”

The class will be held 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Monday for four consecutive weeks from July 12 through August 2, 2004 at the Menomonee Falls office located at W133N5138 Campbell Drive. Setzer will teach students about designing parts and assemblies. Students will also receive a free 90-day Personal Edition SolidWorks software and 3D model from Dimension 3D Printer.

“Ryan is excited to be in the training class,” says his father Jeff Brickl, who also uses SolidWorks as a mechanical designer for Inform Product Development. “Thank you for giving him this opportunity.”

Webster’s father, Mark Webster, Vice President of Engineering at Pflow Industries, another SolidWorks user, states, “Nick is very excited to learn SolidWorks, and is thrilled that he was chosen for the scholarship. He is a hard worker and is deserving of the honor.”

A few spots are still available for the class and it is specially priced at only $ 250. For more information or to register for the SolidWorks Summer School, contact Michelle Hansen at 1-800-454-CADD, ext. 117 or on the web at http://www.gxsc.com/training_summerschool.htm.
