Fastsigns International Looking for Scottish Franchisees

Fastsigns International Looking for Scottish Franchisees

(PRWEB) May 19, 2006

After developing a number of franchises in England and Wales, Fastsigns International, a sign and graphics company, is marketing the business to potential franchisees in Scotland.

The US-based franchise believes that the expansion of the Scottish economy coupled with a growth in the number of entrepreneurs in the country makes it a prime place for the company to increase its franchise holdings.

In addition, the international franchise has noted that according to the 2005 franchising survey by the British Franchise Association and NatWest, the franchising model is taking off in Scotland as 42 per cent of the country's franchising opportunities have been made available only in the last two years.

Having already established 18 franchise centres in England and Wales and with a new location to open in Coventry soon, as well as another centre planned for Colchester later in 2006, the company is confident that it will establish a number of outlets in Scotland over the next few years.

It hopes to attract franchisees next month, when it will be on display at the British Franchise Exhibition in Glasgow.

Garth Allison, the company's director of UK franchise sales, said: "We've been thinking about the expansion northward for a while and this show is the official launch of our presence in the Scottish market.

"We offer an excellent business-to-business opportunity for the person who wants to run his or her own company."

Fastsigns International provides each franchisee with all the necessary tools to produce specific signs and graphics for customers, including a large-format, full colour digital printer.

Meanwhile, in the US, the international franchise has moved to a larger headquarter facility in Carrollton, Texas, as part of its long-term growth plans.

The new 37,000 sq ft complex is 10,000 sq ft larger than the previous facility in Carrollton and it includes a new state-of-the-art training building.

As well as taking new franchisees through setting up and effectively running a new centre, the training facility, complete with design, printing, production, computer and lecture rooms, will host courses on new technologies, design structures, sales practices and management issues.

Fastsigns International has almost 500 locations worldwide and in addition to the US and Britain, it has centres in Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Australia.

It offers a full range of custom sign and graphic products including large-format, full color graphics, banners, window and vehicle graphics, floor graphics, safety and identification signage, trade show displays and exterior signage.
