Tampa Business Makes Tracks on Wisteria Lane

Odessa, FL (PRWEB) January 15, 2005

Tampa-based company Pro Tech Monitoring, Inc., is making tracks on television’s favorite street, Wisteria Lane. Pro Tech Monitoring, a longtime leader in the GPS tracking industry, today announced that they will be featured on an upcoming episode of the ABC hit show Desperate Housewives.

The episode, titled “Every Day a Little Death,” will air on Sunday, January 16, 2005 on ABC. The company was contacted by show’s prop master in November for a multi-episode storyline that includes one of the show’s primary characters, Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira), on house arrest following a legal altercation. During the episode, Carlos explains how the system works tracking his every movement while he is not in jail.

“We are very excited to be a part of Desperate Housewives,” said Steve Chapin, CEO of Pro Tech. “As GPS tracking is being used more and more within our corrections system, we expect to see examples of it more frequently within mass media.”

Pro Tech Monitoring, founded in 1995, has been the leader in the GPS offender tracking market since 1997. Pro Tech Monitoring, Inc. is a Delaware Corporation headquartered in Odessa, Florida. Using the experience gained in tracking more than 25,000 offenders, Pro Tech has developed an integrated product platform providing customers with a broad range of supervision technologies, which include radio frequency offender monitoring, three levels of passive GPS tracking and three types of active GPS tracking.
