ipConfigure Announces the Release of Enterprise Surveillance Manager 5.2

Norfolk, VA (PRWEB) January 27, 2011

ipConfigure announced today that their flagship video management software product, Enterprise Surveillance Manager, has been updated to include dozens of new features and enhancements. Notably, ESM version 5.2 supports for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Server Operating Systems, secure bi-directional audio and HTTPS, and over 350 commercial IP cameras and encoders. All ESM customers with a valid support agreement are eligible for the upgrade at no additional charge.

ipConfigure’s ESM 5.2 now includes the ability to resize trip wire lines, artificial horizon for depth perception, and crop lines for more precise detection both indoors and outdoors. The exclusive motion detection algorithm triggers fewer false positives and requires less CPU utilization thus allowing users to support more cameras per server than competing VMS solutions that employ the use of squares and rectangles to detect motion. “Our customers are finding new ways to use ESM outside of typical surveillance applications, which is very exciting,” said Steve Lewis, COO of ipConfigure. ESM 5.2 also includes a new camera application called Interactive Monitoring which can be used for telemedicine, video conferencing, and distant learning applications. ESM’s Interactive Monitoring leverages IP cameras, video decoders, and the PC’s microphone and speakers to control bi-directional communications between remote locations. This new application operates in conjunction with ESM’s video surveillance application allowing its cost to be shared amongst multiple departments in an organization.

“ESM 5.2 represents the best the industry has to offer and I am proud to say that we listened to our customers and built many of the new features based on their feedback. For example, our customers required us to push the envelope and develop a ground-breaking technology for our revolutionary megapixel License Plate Recognition application and we did. With 200% growth in 2010 it's clear our customers were right,” commented Christopher Uiterwyk, Founder and CEO of ipConfigure.
