ANGELS’ ARMS AND THE MARSHALL FAULK FOUNDATION TEAM UP TO RAISE MONEY:Local artist wants to benefit foster children, underprivileged children

ST. LOUIS (PRWEB) June 11, 2004

Angels’ Arms is pleased to announce their new partnership with the Marshall Faulk Foundation. Local artist Lisa Ober has created an original painting of Marshall Faulk, the St. Louis RAMS running back. From this painting, only 28 signed and numbered prints will be made available as the first in a series of exclusive prints of Faulk from Ms. Ober’s paintings. She is donating all of the proceeds from the sale of her exclusive print series to both the Marshall Faulk Foundation and Angels’ Arms.

“Lisa is not only an amazing artist but she truly cares about helping children,” said Bess Wilfong, Executive Director of Angels’ Arms. “She is using her talents to make a difference in the lives of St. Louis kids who need help.”

Lisa Ober is a portrait artist specializing in pastel, oil, and digital portraits. She has been painting portraits for almost 20 years. Growing up in Chesterfield, Missouri, Lisa began painting portraits while studying at the Washington University School of Fine Arts where her focus was Graphic Design and Illustration. She has done numerous paintings of other well known athletes and celebrities.

“This is my way of giving back,” said Lisa Ober, artist. “You don’t realize how easy your life is until you meet a child in need. This is the least I can do.”

Marshall Faulk will autograph each limited edition giclee print which will be accompanied by Certificates of Authenticity for serious collectors. Only 28 prints will be created and sold from each original painting. The prints will be available to the public via an auction at both the Angels’ Arms golf tournament and fall event. You may also call Angels’ Arms at 314-729-9895 to reserve or purchase your limited edition print.

About Angels’ Arms:

Angels' Arms is a local, non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide a nurturing home for foster children until a forever home is found. We have a large house in South County on Tesson Ferry Road. Currently, nine children and two full-time foster parents are living in the house. We take children ranging in age from birth to 18 and have enough beds for 12 kids. Oftentimes, sibling groups are separated when they enter the foster care system. Since our house is large, we can accept siblings as opposed to splitting them up among several houses. Angels' Arms receives NO state or federal funding and solely is supported by the generosity of our community.

About The Marshall Faulk Foundation:

The Marshall Faulk Foundation is proud to support many charities in and around the St. Louis Community. The Foundation’s goal is to provide assistance to inner-city youth organizations and underprivileged children. From giving out football tickets to donating shoes to St. Louis children, the Marshall Faulk Foundation strives to make a difference in the lives of kids. The Foundation has donated over $ 500,000 since joining the Rams in 1999.
