TechBridge Names CTS' Cara Turano to 2011 Digital Ball Executive Committee

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 21, 2011

TechBridge, a nonprofit that helps other nonprofits use technology to do more and serve more people, is pleased to announce a milestone for its 2011 annual fundraising event, the TechBridge Digital Ball. The gala is planned for Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and is already well over half way towards its fundraising goal, with the entry level sponsorships sold out. CTS Development Manager, Cara Turano, was appointed to serve on the executive committee for the upcoming event.

For the eleventh time in as many years, the occasion will draw a who's who crowd from Atlanta's technology and business communities to celebrate the impact of philanthropy and technology on Atlanta's nonprofits. TechBridge is honored to announce that Accenture will serve as the Digital Ball's presenting sponsor. TechBridge also welcomes back marquee sponsors The Coca-Cola Company and First Data, and major supporters AT&T, Fiserv, IBM, Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Verizon - along with new major supporters: 3i People, OnX, and Prosys Information Systems.

The 2011 Digital Ball will be co-chaired by Maryann Goebel, EVP and CIO, Fiserv and Dave Barnes, SVP and CIO, UPS. "The work of TechBridge can positively transform the effectiveness of a nonprofit organization through the efficiency of technology," said Goebel. "I'm pleased to have the opportunity to help them continue making a positive impact on our community."

"Funds raised by the Digital Ball enable TechBridge to provide exceptional technology services to nonprofits for significantly subsidized rates," adds Barnes. "The Digital Ball is a great way to bring together the leaders of the technology and business communities for a common cause."

Joining Ms. Goebel and Mr. Barnes to oversee planning and preparation for what has become the not-to-be-missed event within Atlanta's business and technology communities are the following dedicated volunteers:
