Metro Expands Broad Portfolio of Point-of-Care Computing Products at HIMSS11

MetroMount Wall Arm

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) February 22, 2011

Metro, a world leader in providing technology, storage and transport solutions for healthcare facilities, today announced at the HIMSS11 Healthcare IT Conference and Exhibition that it has entered the fixed point-of-care computing marketplace with the introduction of the MetroMount™ Wall Arm. Available for viewing at Metro booth (#3437), the MetroMount Wall Arm is the latest addition to Metro’s expansive product line comprised of point-of-care computing, medication management and clinical product solutions.

Featuring a reliable and robust design, the MetroMount Wall Arm provides point-of-care computing workstations with the ultimate ergonomic solution, enabling arm adjustments with a single-handed motion from a seated to standing position and vertical adjustment. Ideal for sharing between two patient beds, the MetroMount Wall Arm’s durable design is also capable of supporting a 22”+ monitor and a total weight of 40 pounds—more than any other wall-mounted arm available.

“We are entering the fixed point-of-care marketplace in response to customer demands for solutions that complement our industry-leading mobile computing workstations and medication management solutions,” said Rob Sobie, vice president of healthcare marketing at Metro. “Building on Metro’s already strong service promise, our MetroMount Wall Arm arrives with a lifetime guarantee and easy installation—ensuring that this product, along with our broad portfolio of our healthcare products—delivers an effective investment in any facility’s point-of-care strategy.”

Metro also today unveiled a new warranty for mobile computing workstations and power solutions that includes five-year coverage for mechanical components and two-year coverage on electrical components for DC mobile computing workstations. In addition, Metro’s Li-Nano battery is covered for an industry-leading three years.

In addition to unveiling the MetroMount Wall Arm at HIMSS11, Metro will also be showcasing live demonstrations and products for every facility and department at the booth, ranging from mobile telehealth and automated medication dispensing solutions to clinical documentation and specialized procedure carts. Onsite demonstrations will focus on advanced bedside medication management, diverse point-of-care computing solutions and integrated telehealth solutions.
