ElanTech Systems, Inc. Receives OCI Plan Approval by National Reconnaissance Office

Greenbelt, MD (Vocus) December 1, 2009

ElanTech Systems, Inc. (ElanTech) announced today that it is one of only a handful of contractors to gain official approval of its Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) plan by the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). ElanTech provides Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the NRO for the acquisition of intelligence capabilities.

As a result of the Weapon Systems Acquisition Reform Act of 2009, the NRO implemented a program to negotiate OCI agreements with non-conflicted support service providers who commit to remaining non-conflicted with regard to NRO development efforts. The NRO preference was created to avoid actual or potential OCI and to protect the integrity of the NRO acquisition decision-making process.

“ElanTech serves as a trusted advisor to the NRO, and we have long recognized the value of remaining completely and formally OCI-free,” says Ted Coughlin, Program Manager of ElanTech’s NRO business. “This is an important effort by the NRO to eliminate potential conflicts of interest between those guiding its procurement efforts and those benefitting from them – and we’re proud to have met its rigorous standards.”

As a result of plan approval, ElanTech will now be recognized as eligible to perform support services requiring a prime contractor or subcontractor that is not conflicted with any NRO development effort.
